OOC Explanation

- Transfiguration takes up [2] Magic Slots. It is not a feat.

- Transmutation and Enchanting take up [1] Magic Slot total.

- Once one reaches T3 in Transfiguration, they may choose to dedicate a further [1] magic slot to Warding and Abjuration. Without doing this, they may not make use of Warding and Abjuration whatsoever. This requires a separate MA, in which one must link their accepted Transfiguration MA. (Alternatively: This requires the slot pickup to be noted on the Tranfigurationist's MA.)

- A Transfigurationist may still progress to T5 without picking up Warding and Abjuration as well.

- That being said, Transfiguration has little combative value, existing as a “utility magic.”

- Transfiguration requires a voidal connection and mana to cast.

- Transfiguration may be taught by players who possess a valid [TA].

- Players must have a valid [MA] to use Transfiguration as an in-game magic.

 

 

Explanation: I think literally every person who holds this MA reasons with and understands it. It's widely understood that Magic Slots are generally used for balancing purposes, and Transfiguration has no combative value, especially since the mass enchant nerfs. This is also more consistent with recent Evocation rewrites (And general modern magic themes) of being able to evolve a magic into a higher slot variant should you wish to become an expert in it. Offer and criticisms below and I'll incorporate them.

Transfiguration is not worth 2 slots, not even including Warding and Abjurations

Abjuration can be used effectively if one knows how to do it right and it can be used combatively however genuinely its often more effort than its worth in my eyes. I agree with this change mostly cause Transfiguration is the real "Whimsical Wizard Magic" but I plainly don't want to have to completely sacrifice [2] whole slots for having whimsy [even though thats what im currently doing]

I like this change, allows people to have their fun whimsy without dedicating [2] slots for something thats kinda useless for anything but flavor

Someone tried to make all of Tfig [1] slot and ST denied it, this is at least a good compromise

We’ve seen other magics have the option to dedicate a second slot, i don’t see a reason why transfig shouldn’t considering how useless it’s become with nerfed enchantments and shit combative abilities 

 

Adding onto my own post L, what if warding and abjuration became artificery feats? Most voidal players agree artificery has become nearly useless. With the ability to create, the ability to take away that creation seems like a good balance

Yes, its more of a quanity over quality, thing really, keeping it 2, it feels like. we get a lot, but a lot is nearly not useful
