YOTH BRATHMORDAKIN NA YOTH MAKAZ’KIRKJA’RUM’MAR’EDOS

During the year 266 of the Second Age, a legendary dwarf left this world to rise to Khaz’A’Dentrumm.

Gror Ireheart, one of the greatest warriors ever to grace the Grand Kingdom has died as he lived, fighting until the very end.

GROR IREHEART
ᛏᚺᛖ ᛋᛏᛖᚨᛞᚠᚨᛋᛏ ᛟᚨᛏᚺᚴᛖᛖᛈᛖᚱ ᛟᚠ ᛞᚢᚾᚷᚱᛁᛗᛗ

A warrior that needs no introduction, Gror Ireheart was one of the most fearsome and honourable warriors the dwarven race has ever known. Known to be unendingly loyal and steadfast in his faith to Dungrimm and Kjellos, and equally loyal and steadfast towards the dwarven race and the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. Gror embodies all the characteristics that all warriors of Urguan strive to embody themselves to the fullest.

Gror Ireheart was the epitome of what an Ireheart should be and, during our time in Urguan, we have not seen an Ireheart that lives up to the clan’s culture, characteristics and core identity more so than Gror.

He has led our clan several times throughout his life, even bringing the elder clan back from the brink of obscurity and extinction. A deed that he was aided in by his son, Utak Ireheart, one of the greatest in his own right. In addition to leading the clan, Gror Ireheart has also been the multiple time Clan Champion of the Irehearts, and has been a multiple time Grand Champion of Urguan, solidifying himself as one of the greatest Urguani warriors of all time.

Those Frostbeards that still have a bit of rebellion left in their hearts may now rest easier knowing that the great Gror Ireheart has left to reach the heights of Khaz’A’Dentrumm, as during his reign as Grand King, this legendary dwarf put down three of the famed Frostbeard rebellions, and avenged the infamous Senate Slaughter led by the Frostbeards.

So may those of Orenian lineage rest easier as well, as Gror Ireheart crushed the Orenian empire multiple times as a Commander of the Legion, Grand Marshal of the Legion and during his incredible reign as Grand King as well. One such time is when the Emperor of Oren ambushed Gror and his two advisors, and those three dwarves managed to turn the tides against the dishonourable assault, with Gror slaying the craven, cowardly Emperor.

Whilst Gror Ireheart is most well known for his martial and warrior-like feats and traits, he was also a bright mind when it came to diplomacy and alliances. As he spearheaded the Second Axionite Coalition in an attempt to thwart the advances of the Orenian Empire. The war concluded after the Emperor and his allies surrendered after just two decisive victories. The terms of the surrender, negotiated by Gror, would eventually lead to the foundation of the Kingdom of Santegia, and a weakened grip on the world by Imperials.

During his reign, with the help of his closest friend, Darek Hammerfist, he oversaw the transition of the Ascended making a home within the Grand Kingdom in an effort to combat Darkspawn and protect Urguan from their taint.

In the dwarven faith, Gror’s connection and unending devotion to Dungrimm is undeniable, being a former Prophet of the Masked Lord. On multiple accounts, it has been believed that the legendary dwarf was so devout and sincere in his adherence to the Brathmordakin, that he had visions of Dungrimm and had spoken with the Masked Lord himself.

Throughout his life, he fought with great vigor to defend the Grand Kingdom of Urguan and his kinsdwed. Whether it were mortal foes, or beasts beyond our realm, Gror had no shortage of selfless acts for the betterment of Dwarfdom. From tyrannical Emperors, to vampires, to rock drakes that threatened the lives of himself and others, Gror never shied away from a fight when it came to the defense of Urguan’s Folk.

Within our clan, he is known for defending our honor and loyalty to the Grand Kingdom. When the Orcs of old Krugmar were set upon our destruction, Gror challenged the Rex himself to an honor duel. He secured victory for our clan and prevented needless bloodshed by avoiding a war entirely.

THE OATHKEEPER
ᛏᚺᛖ ᛞᚹᚨᚱᚠ ᛏᚺᚨᛏ ᚺᚨᛋ ᚾᛖᚡᛖᚱ ᛒᚱᛟᚴᛖᚾ ᚺᛁᛋ ᚹᛟᚱᛞ

During his life, his unwavering devotion and loyalty to the Grand Kingdom of Urguan, and the whole dwarven race, was undeniable. Gror Ireheart was known for never having broken his oaths in his many centuries of life, always staying by his words and never letting Khorvad tempt him into darkness.

For his steadfast and resolute nature, his incredible integrity and unshakable will to stay bound to his vows, staying by his words and remaining loyal to his oaths during his multiple centuries of life we would like to designate him as:

PARAGON OF DUNGRIMM

Stone does not forget stone.

Gror Ireheart stood as iron stands—unbent, unbroken, and unmoved by fear or temptation. In an age where oaths are tested and words are cheapened, he carried his vows as a blade carries its edge: with purpose, and to the end.

Warriors will speak his name when steel is drawn. Kings will remember his hand when crowns are weighed. And Dungrimm himself shall know Gror Ireheart as one who never faltered, never turned, and never broke faith.

Let the halls of Khaz’A’Dentrumm ring with his coming.

Paragon of Dungrimm is a title earned—
and Gror Ireheart earned it fully.

Spoiler

Recognition like this comes from time and moments. Ten years of consistent dwarven brotherhood, leadership, and dedication is exactly what this kind of honor exists to acknowledge. This nomination feels fully earned

Bakir Ireheart, obscenely drunk as he was, still mourning the death of his dear friend and brother Gror Ireheart, wrote a letter to Duren Ireheart: "Out of any of our kin, he deserved Paragon the most. If they do not honor him in death, they are worthy of a grudge.

Somewhere within the Realm of vast Imperivm Hvmanitas, the Grand Knight contemplates the fate of Gror and Corswain’s duel. The man had not truly hated Dawi, much to the chagrin of his demonization by them. He admired the warriors an thegns of the Mountain Clans. The industrious clans of the Underdark. Even the peaceful dwelling Forest Clans of the undergrowth. The Urguani had shown a remarkable resilience over the years, their will iron and resolve stone. Their ‘Grand Kingdom’ only ever disappearing once from the annuals of history, the dreaded War of the Beards where kin fought kin. Irongrinder and Frostbeards, Irehearts and Grandaxes, all battling for supremacy of their respective ‘Grand King’.

Of the various names that were antagonists to the Realms of Man, Gror’s name appeared many times. How this stubborn dawi must’ve slain countless men before he was even born, the Grand Knight thought to himself.

”With their Champion slain, perhaps they will think twice before exiting the Goldleaf gap and coming north. Least they meet the same fate,” Sir Arn commented as he stared at the map of this continent. Another step in the heavenly ordained journey of the Birthright of Horen.

Alaric Grimgold sat alone by the low fire, the old stones warm at his back, the silence of the deep halls broken only by the slow breath of flame. The note lay heavy in his hand. Another name. Another life weighed and found wanting of breath but rich in deeds. Gror Ireheart. Unyielding, unbreakable, a Dwarf whose fury had been a shield for his people. The petition for Paragon lay beneath the death-mark, respectful, inevitable.

The fire’s glow drew his mind backward, as it always did. He remembered the day he crowned Sigrun Stonehammer, Undead Slayer, before a sea of beards and banners. He had lifted the circlet with hands steady despite the heat, the sacred flames licking skyward as the crown met Sigrun’s brow. He remembered his eyes. Unflinching, proud, resolved; and the roar of the Temple as if the mountain itself had given assent. He had named heroes before and after, but that day had burned itself into him like rune and scar alike.

He set the note aside and took up a scrap of vellum, already knowing what must be written. The High Preceptor would decide, as law and custom demanded. Yet blood and duty bound them still. Alaric wrote only two words, the ink dark and final, and sealed the slate. When the cave crow took it and vanished into the tunnels searching for Grelu, Alaric returned to the fire, alone with memory, judgment, and the quiet certainty that Gror Ireheart would not be found lacking.

“Confirm Him.”

Obok Metaldrinks pondered on the nomination pinned to the temple, tapping his fingers on the stone as he read the words that spoke of Gror's actions
''w'at does it take tae become a Paragon... all of 'is deeds seems tae be before me time, just loike Fimlin, but if 'e doesnt fit t'e criteria, t'en w'o does? Oi suppose i can endorse t'is.''
he mumbled lowly to himself before going to grab lunch.
