The usage of soulstones

How many of you use soulstones?

OR do you use a little bit of both?'

OR do you ONLY use the roads for immersion?

 

For me i use a little bit of both, when i have time (and in the mood for it) i use the roads.

Honestly? Usually its soulstone for me unless I kidnap someone or the journay to an area is more so the point than anything else for some reason [like for example looking for ST events etc]

 

Traveling around just takes a very long time that I don't feel like using up honestly

It depends on how relevant it is to the RP I'm doing. When I was actively on the run from Idunia, I didn't use soulstone at all for several days because using CT as a hub/hangout spot to avoid detection feels cheap to me. Likewise if I'm on some kind of timer or the travel is otherwise important to the RP, then I'll go by foot/horse. If I'm just bouncing between my regular RP spots looking for RP though, I'll soulstone since 99% of the time, I don't encounter road RP anyway.

As a long time player and having experienced both LotC with and without the soulstones, I do think soulstones are great and I use them but their cooldown should be at least 30 minutes long or even longer like an hour. The timer's been moved a little bit here and there but it's still easy to never travel around and simply SS Around because you are a scared of losing your roleplay pixels, like most of the people who actively play.

 

There was something to having to travel everywhere, the was a lot more of players and the roleplay was a little bit more dynamic but it also brought a lot of negatives such as the main roads being full of bandits.

i used to have a soulstone pillar inside my own house so i wouldnt have to walk the extra 2 minutes until those ******* MODS removed it...

if i'm doing something menial like paying taxes or restocking my shops i soulstone, if i'm actually looking for roleplay or travelling to an event i use the roads
