[[Okay, for the last 10 days, our king hasn't been on Lord of the Craft while the few online council members have been unable to do much without ownership permissions which only the king has access to. After Gotrek was elected king, he was online for a short amount of time and then he became inactive. I've been told that he is ignoring it and neglecting his responsibility which is sad. Not much can be done without a king, but Thordon, Stronghold and I have been trying our best to keep Kal'Urguan running.

So I ask all Dwarves and citizens of Kal'Urguan, what do you say, should we stick with the current king or get a new one?

If you vote the second then on the request of Stronghold and the war council, I will step in as I was the second in line originally but I told Algrim that I did not wish to be king. I want to do my best to help the dwarves, and changes will come if I'm elected. We stand for the players, and right now you can't even buy a house in Kal'Urguan as nobody who is online has the permissions. The current council system hasn't been working well, which has been confirmed by a number of past and current High Council members. I have also seem myself that the current system isn't working as only a small number of High Council members are actually active. For that reason, myself, the War Council and many others have developed a new system for the Dwarves which will be implemented if I become King. This system will all be revealed in a forum post which will be posted at a later date.

Well, personally, I agree with Thorik on this. Many people have entered Kal'Urguan, looking for housing and have been unable to get it, simply because we don't have enough people with permissions who are actually active. It has also become apparent that our current system of governing in Kal'Urguan is no longer as effective as it once was. Both the High Council and King cannot get online as much as they once could, leaving only a few High Councilors online to control the city. This has made it very troublesome for people to buy housing in the city or contact High Councillors to offer their input. In my opinion, changes must be made so that every Dwarf can have some sort of input and be happy with the Dwarven Kingdom.))

I think this would be a good change even if the king was active, it will be a refreshing change to switch up the way the government is run a tad and it will open more spots for dwarves to get involved sence there will be a second council. Seeing that Gotrek is never online I think that we don't really even have a choice in this matter so I support it for both of those facts, we need to get moving fast because there have been a lot of people looking for homes and not being able to offer OUR dwarves in THEIR capital houses is a real shame and makes the dwarves look like crap as well. You have my support.

I am only giving my thoughts as i live in kalurgann, i have a house and shop there. I feel that a new king would be a good idea. Thorik was my first choice for king when me and algrim talked. I felt he was the most active and helpful dwarf that could take the spot. I wish this all goes thorugh and your rp turns out well for it. Good luck Dwarfs and dig a hole. ))

It worked perfectly when Belin was king, and everything ran smooth, before that, only the lord marshall ever efficiently worked, and after it really hasn't.

Basically overseers, which I have said for a long time needs to be put back in place, but never was.

I don't want to put words in anyones mouth, but to me it seemed almost as he was forced to become King and seemed like he did not want to actually be it. Technically he isn't even officially King since he never had a coronation.

It is good that someone has finally taken the initiative to raise awareness to this problem, as the rest of the council members that I know of do not want the position of King, so to that I applaud you.

[[ Honestly, I do not want it after all algrim told me about it. But i feel like sombody actually has to step up and take the responsebility. We have been waiting since last friday when this problem was brought to me by people wanting it solved and i said: Give gotrek another week, I want to talk to him before i do anything.

Although I liked Gotrek as king due to his pro-forest dwarf ideas, I do agree that he needs to be replaced due to his absense. While I can not support nor oppose you due to my limited contact with you in-game, I will say that Chaecus would make a great choice for king. He is at least on often enough to tend to his duties.

As for your new system, I will have to wait to see it before I give my take on it.
