Arbrek the Ancient 140 Share Posted December 20, 2011 Well, overall, I would say that the sword is the better choice for a non-warrior, but the axe is good for prolonged battles and war. However, Arbrek likes to use an axe because it fits Dwarven RP better.

GavinTheViking 151 Share Posted December 21, 2011 It's ye choice. I use swords more. I am going to bring loads of axes into ye 'ilderness and survive ur die! That'll train me good. ((I am going to pay $20 to redistribute my skills and get 75 swords and 40 axes. So I can have more variety in battle. And yes my character is part Dwarf and part Human, not a Halfling but kind of.)) Aeolwyn The Elf 139 Share Posted December 21, 2011 (( Are we just forgetting about rp? If you are an elf, I would assume a bow and swords combo. Where the bow would be higher level than the swords. This is how I would do my skills: Orc: Axes lvl 100 Woodcutting/Blacksmithing ( Blacksmithing is a bit more rp IMO ) lvl 100 Wrestling lvl 75 Human: Swords lvl 100 Blacksmithing lvl 100 Wrestling lvl 75 Elves: Bow lvl 100 Swords lvl 75 Blacksmithing lvl 75 Woodcutting ( To chop your logs for your bow and arrows ) lvl 25 Dwarf: Axes lvl 100 Blacksmithing lvl 100 Mining lvl 75 ( To Mine your ores ) These are just the combos I would go with If I where one of these. ))

CosmicWhaleShark 2488 Share Posted December 21, 2011 I personally prefer the sword, I dueled Burkester iron sword v iron axe with leather armor for a tournament duel. I beat him with 4 1/2 hearts left. Also I love that you're able to actually block with the sword, spamming the right button though decreases your hit percentage by a few times per second but it does save your hearts not to mention the passive parry and counter skills. Personally I would rather be a lvl 100 archer, can anyone tell me the stats on that?

Charles_Grimlie 1072 Share Posted December 22, 2011 I think the higher level you are, the more damage is caused. It deos cause higher damage, If I heard correctly from Kahzo when he was testing skills. He said that the amount of damage he was able to do was about a third of ones health per arrow without armor, and there is also the double arrow ability. Along with the currently bugged fire arrow, also soul arrows are pretty handy too!
