QUESTION PLEASE ANSWER:

How do Contested regions work? As far as I know it has not acctually been said. So cities/nations/towns can claim them, and if no one says "no" they get it? Then can they build there? But then theres always the risk of it getting attacked and claimed by another?

Contested territories are risky because nations may need, or desire the land at some point

Contested territories can be chartered for, just like other plots

So they get the charter, then they expand onto it? I guess if another nation attacks and defeats them, they get the land?

That is how I understand it, but I believe that any lands should be able to be conquered with sufficient Rp.

So how would you take over a contested area? Can you attack a nation-owned contested area, and how would that work? Could you take over areas that are not contested but owned by other nations?

We're not releasing a dynamic map anytime soon, with new terms of war and whatnot it allows for far too much meta

Imagine you make a village, and a faction applies for a siege on your land.. because they saw it on the dynamic map

Then make a dynamic map of the original Asulon world file with the ruins.

Dynmap's are live, I'll find an old save; put it on a separate server, render a dynmap & stitch together a large resolution image.

Perhaps make it so that the monks make trips around Auslon and update a map located at the Monk Sanctuary (and conveniently on the forums) but only return every few months. This way information portrayed on the map can not be used to metagame.

When we find somewhere nice IG, how are we supposed to know what region it is in so we can put the charter in the right section?
