Question, I'd everyone abandons the city, can Arbrek just stay and sit on the Throne, "ruling", the city untill he dies, you come back, or he is dragged away?

Lol I could actually see that, old crazy dwarf living alone in a huge abandoned city. Then the little kids come along and 'dare' eachother to go inside and then you kidnap them lol.

I must add, a smaller city always helps. Take it from an orc, a close knit community founded by closer quarters or other means will make you a force to be reckoned once again. I believe this is what the elves did with Normandor as well?

If you guys are serious about leaving and this is really gonna happen, I have a pretty good idea that will keep Karik intact but make RP sense for the dwarves to regroup and make a new home.

I think it's a good idea to leave Karik, as it is just too big for the current Dwarven community. However, I strongly disagree in having RP for the distruction of Karik. Karik will likely be useful again when the Dwarven population springs back up. So far this is the idea I like the most:

I think dis is a good idea, I think instead of te old city collapsing there should be a vision by a priest or something that te gods are warning us that if we continue to stay in Karik there will be a disaster and the dwarf race will cease to exist, it would give us a more rp reason to leave and I think it could be a ton of fun having everyone grabbing what they can and go on basically another pilgrimage that the gods lead us to. It woul help jump start the new religion and give us a chance to reunite the dwarf race, as for Holm and Kal Dwain the leaders could have a vision as well telling them to save the dwarven race by returning and eventually becoming the superior race of Asulon.

I would suggest that once we leave, we should have a GM close the giant gate at the entrance of Karik

I wouldn't blame the city itself for the lack of dwarves/dwarven rp. The fact of the matter is that the dwarves are one of the most time zone spread nations (in terms of the amount of people), and the dwarves are heavily separated between the different cities (and nations... although there are not that many in Holm anymore). Uniting the dwarves through a "lets build a city together" is a good idea, but it is just adding another place the dwarves will be (as Arbrek said his character would stay in Karik). So, IF you must move the capital of Karik, I believe your best bet would be Kal'Dwain, as it is in great condition, and it has great plans for the future.

I think we should all make Kal'Dwain our new nation. I like how it's turning out.

((Honesty I think this is a good idea. A smaller more compact city that is closer to spawn would be good for the dwarves. I just hope that clan halls will be built for the clans, especially if Karik is to be closed off, because many clans paid good money for Halls that now will be obsolete. ))

That was a joke ;p but yes, I agree, moving to and Improving Kal'Dwain is probably our best choice. Darius and I were already planning some stuff for it.

((I will speak to some higher ups about Lore behind this. I have an idea that would work and may give some great RP. Let me get approval from Mr Native before i get started. :) ))

This seems like a great I dea to save the dwarves from extinction. I have like three dwarves in Holm including myself so most of them are eitheer there or in some other nations with their OOC friends.

Kal dwain would be perfect haha Darius's plan finally worked :P

(( If blackhawk lets me aid in re designing kal'dwain I'll happily take up the challange... I plan on re designing the buildings to look more like Wow's Thelsmar and the warhammer red dragon tavern, so stone brick walls and some clay brick roves! ))

Muahahaha! But yes, I was thinking heavy remodeling. But realize that Darius will not simply give you the city.. Where is my incentive? And no.. Your tiny legion is not incentive :P

Edit: Wait, I realized I found an amazing place with valleys everywhere in contested territory. I'll show you where if you like.

One of the other things we discussed is that you wouldn't have to lose Karik. You could transform it into more of a sacred hall of the Dwarven ancestors. Would be almost like a place where Dwarves could go on pilgrimage, as a right of passage, or to seek wisdom from Urguan and the great Dwarves of old.
