((None of the defenders placed TNT inside Riven. I was one of the first persons to notice, that the enemy somehow snuck past the defenders and was inside Riven. At that time, they inner city was already destroyed.

A group of people were doing this to all Salvus owned forts and villages. I saw them TNT'ing another fort also and I believe it was the same people doing it to this town , as the rest merley set it ablaze D:

I did not put the tnt there, but I was the one to detonate it all unfortuantly.

This are comments from a status I posted regarding the situation.

To me it sounds like a staff member got a bit too caught up in the war. This needs to be further addressed, so it doesn't happen again.))

(( As King of Salvus, lord of the Arden realm, and mayor of Riven I think I should have none if we put mines down. Riven was the only defendabled city Salvus has besides the capital and now Solaces southern boarder and the river passage are open. If a nation is claiming to have seized Riven then rules have been broken as there is or was no war claim for that region.

Now I would like to make it clear first that I have no problems letting my work get destroyed for the roleplay of the server. So that said here is what I lost, all the items that were stored in the city (no TNT was kept here as it is a rp logging city), my family lore and history (someone took the bones of my father, really?) aswell as lore books that there are no copies of, Riven did have a few people that lived there so all there items, and lastly weeks of my time that went into building and designing the city.

From here I am not sure how to move along, if Fraya didn't place the TNT or world edit then who did.))

(( Right, this is what I picked up from evidence before I accidentally blew it to pieces. A GM most likely turned all the wool in the area into TNT as when I had gotten to Riven, all of the tents that were previously made of wool were TNT. Curious, I went over to the tents only to find that there were a few pressure plates that I did not no of, causing to give the hole in Riven. ))

((It may have been a bug with the region that means when Robin (Who took over for me when I had to go to bed since I was feeling quite ill) replaced the decoy wool (Which I replaced the TNT with to stop sheep and things blowing up the mines prematurely) with TNT, caused the whole region to have it's wool replaced with TNT. It was a technical error and nobody is to blame.

However, I think this is a opportunity to write some rather nice lore about the destruction of Riven, rather than moaning about what has been lost - items are just RP props, after all. ))

(( I agree, while I was outside of Riven, I was rping with a few people of saying how Riven will stand as a reminder of how peoples desires and anger can destroy a peaceful city such as Riven. I still feel horrible of what I had done, but the possibility of new Rp situations out of this are plenty. Perhaps region the ruins so people stop digging up buildings and wood for such and leave it the way it is now. Make some of the stone into mossy cobble, throw some spider webs up, stuff like that. and to Redninja, I have one lore book from when the TNT destroyed most of the crypt if you want it, it doesn't say much, but incase if you wanted it. Once again, I feel horrible that I had done this. ))

The attackers were a bit confused too as to why there was the biggest crater in the middle of Riven.

Regarding to attackers TNTing other cities/forts, the only two I know of are the two in the snowy region (white on the war claim). After capturing the two towns/forts, Syrilia decided to level the two cities with TNT. That's as much as I know. []

The Twilight Army approached Riven. We were rather broken up and dysfunctional at this point, and I wasn't sure who was who. We were essentially lost. Once we were attacked by the defenders of Riven, we realized we were outnumbered due to the fact that we simply didn't have the organization level others had, so many of us were lost in the forest. We moved inside the city, but weren't sure who to attack. Suddenly, fighting broke out and it became quickly apparent that we could hold them off, but not forever. So birds were sent to Syrio and Brevias calling for their aid when the battle truly began.

The crater was there when we got there.

Edit: Note that I did not order anyone to attack Riven. We were struck first from the town, so we struck back. We did not intentionally go to Riven, we were just lost.

Says a lot for my leadership skills :P

Alrasian Admiral Everard Hightower II reflects upon the recent engagement.

"It was a glorious battle, despite the heinous acts by our so called 'allies' in Hanseti."

Salvus and Hanseti were stuck.

If we had advanced we would have been swarmed by Alras However if we'd have fallen back then our own Archers would shoot us as they thought we were the attackers. We had no way out other then to fight.

(( I remember that... good times... I was walking around, sneaking behind the trees when I heard a large boom. I turned around and saw a crater where Riven was :P ))
