Wouldnt Elves, specifically Wood Elves have immunity to illness or atleast a resistance to it?

Why would they?

In addition; regarding the 'immunity' of the Subudai, this makes little sense. With the supposedly high rate of mutation among the bacteria that causes the plague, the Subudai's genetic structure would not nearly be able to 'keep up', so to speak. Unless, of course, standard biological mutation rates are higher in Asulon, in which case most creatures should be dying of genetic disorders.

The 'biological mutation' is purely of the behest of the players who wrote the Plague Lore. They do not have boundaries to how they write.

The Subudai's immunity is because we brought it to you all!

Think Syphilis, think Smallpox, the bringers of it from Europe to the Americas and vice-versa had an immunity to it. Once again, this was at the behest of the Lore Writers who gave forth this RP idea.

The infection seems to be evolving into strange mutations. A sighting at Cloud temple resulted in a beast with a demented face, and several horns/bone fragments coming from its skin.

Could this be the same infection?

Green dots were found on the creature.

It was set on fire, and the beast ran into the water to put it out, it also vomited in the lakes.. is the water still pure?

Well anyways, it took an arrow to the head and a knife to the throat, causing blood to spew into the lakes under Cloud temple, finally it died with a sword in its eye.

The men set it ablaze, but the smoke may have went into the clouds...

If I were you, stay away from the lake at cloud temple.

One question that I've had multiple answers on is this, do you need a VA to kill an afflicted person on site?

((Ahem Ahem, I believe I figured it out. Black Plague. Done. Now you all die in insufferable pain. The End :D.))

No. Quite simply, it feeds the Plague and causes it to alter exponentially. Usually with rather gruesome results. This includes all forms of magic that tap into Mana or alternate Planes of being, including but limited to - Arcane Magic, Elemental Magic (Excluding Shamanism), Clerical / Holy magic, Unholy magic, "Trickster Magic", Magical potions and equipment, etc.

Excluding Shamanism? Does that mean that Shamanism cures it or does not do anything to effect it? So if you use shamanism to do anything to a sick person, does it have an effect? May I perhaps found the cure? Huehuehue.

If my character was already wearing a mask to prevent illness ( characters very paranoid about sickness), would I have to take off the mask, or could I keep it on but lets say, it doesn't exactly work to keep out the plague?

My only problem with this plague is the fact that it's magic resistant. If it was completely natural, I see no reason why it would be magic resistant. The Bubonic Plague was thought (among other things) to be a foul mixture of chemicals released into the wind that was blowing towards a town. Why can't we go with this? A disgruntled cleric, some evil necromancer, I dunno. I feel as if the 'NO MAGIC ALLOWED' rule is just in place to prevent people from curing the plague. If we roleplayed it realistically from how I understand the plague, nearly all of us would be dead within a couple years.

Can you provide the skin that was used in the Plague news update? The mask and robe that the two plague doctors are wearing? Assuming that those are the standard-issued monk protections.

There has to be a balance between Realism and Player-Creation of Lore. If we wanted to be utterly realistic, then Magic=Bullsh-t.

No magic allowed is to prevent people from curing the plague with a paragraph or two of half-assed lore and 5-10 minutes of role-play, with the actual healing process probably consisting of a few lines of misspelled text, if that. Even the most disciplined of magic groups would likely strive to be the ones who found the secret remedy. "It was burning incense all along! We breathed in the fragrances and were cured!" No. We ought to suffer and get our kicks with this one, find a way to combat it the hard way.

If we wanted to be utterly realistic, a disease wouldn't be able to mutate like this and would kinda be treatable .-.

Realistic about a made up illness? This is LotC lore, not human history. What the GMs say is what we play/mork with.

An illness that near-completely mimics a real-life illness. But I give up, there's no point in arguing any further.
