Patch 2.6

Hey Asulon,

Time for our last pre-summer patch, and it’s a good one!

Patch 2.6 Changelog:

  • Lightning no longer causes fire. This will cut down on all the random fires that have been sitting around Asulon’s forests.
  • Armour now weighs you down! This has huge implications, no more chasing people in diamond armor!
  • Impedes movement and swimming.
  • If you’re too heavy, you won’t be able to swim back up!
  • Each piece of armour has its own weight.

  • Boats can now sink!
  • They slowly submerge after taking enough damage, and they will stay submerged until broken.

  • Arrows are more realistic
  • Arrows have different damage based on where they hit you! (Torso, head, legs, etc.)

  • New shop plugin (as previously showcased) has been implemented. (http://www.lordofthecraft.net/?p=2822) We originally polled the server to determine what kind of shop plugin we wanted to re-add to the server. However we got a very mixed response as seen by this image.

  • To counter this, we decided to take the best of both worlds in our new economy plugin. Although this plugin was not coded by me (vaquxine) I did make some key modifications to the code in order to remove some exploits and other misc. issues I spotted while analyzing the plugin for use. I personally think it’s an amazing addition to our server, and if you’re not convinced just read up on the commands and watch our “tutorial” video and you will be. Only Steel VIP ($25) and up will be able to create their own shops, however all users will be able to purchase and sell goods to shops, and any user can be promoted to assistant manager of a shop.

  • Fixed Ale recipe.
  • We’ve completed work on a custom plugin that will allow us to add and disable any crafting recipes we please, so be on the look-out for new updates coming up that will be utilizing this quite a lot. Some examples of recipes we’ve already added include:

  • http://minecraftreci...ions/199542.png - Mossy Cobblestone

What's the order of weightiness? Leather, Chainmail, Gold, Iron, then diamond the heaviest?

one down fall.

-scratch that I must have glitched into the dirt or something-

And If you do not wear a helmet with your armor you are not effected by slowness which sucks because people are obviously going to abuse that part of the plugin.

Thank tha' lord for the armor plug-in.

Big bad bandits aren't gonna be able to chase people down in their fancy armor now, eh?

Problem with armor discovered. If you jump while wearing say, iron armor, you can walk at nearly the same pace as normal ( without armor ).
