Are you talking about my scholar division of the mages guild or is there actually a scholar guild?

((I'm talking about making an official Scholar's Guild. Not like your suggestions, Sagwort. As I said, these would be just scholars, not magical folks. (Though they are the type to be better suited for Magic when it arrives.)

They don't wish to use their power for anything and they don't seek to make sure things are "running smoothly." The release of any information they have would be in an ABSOLUTE emergency.

Freya, I didn't join the Guild just for any benefits when Magic comes out. I joined it to try and make it a unique RP experience with a different viewpoint on the world and fun activities for members. I don't really want to just wait until magic comes out.(which WILL take a while)

I would much rather fashion it into something new which can accept people publically, then turn it back into the Mage's Guild when magic comes out, or possibly operate as an off-shoot of the Mage's Guild. I want it to have fun RP aspects among other things in it. ))

I have decided to forget that idea(not sure about Slayer yet) Although quite awile ago me and Slayer dicussed creating a Scholar Division to the guild. I could send you a pm if you want more information. What we could do is simply take the work me and Slayer put into the scholar division and go off of that.

You could put it in the lore, or Vaq could make a server announcement by Aeriel, leading you to a tome, and WHAM, inside is all the magic stuff. That, would progress you guys from a scholar's guild to a mage guild. then after that separate the 2.

((We will cross that bridge when we come to it. For now we may remain two separate guilds, form together as one, or have the Scholar's Guild be a branch of the Mage's Guild when magic does come out.

Also, firespirit, the release of magic will NOT center around the Mage's Guild most likely. Availer and his loremasters will likely create a creative, fun event surrounding the arrival of magic.))

My character recently died and I have been thinking over the past few days about a new character.

After much deliberation, I have decided to create a character loosely based on the character Pug from Magician by Raymond E. Feist. I have thought out a back story for my new character but this story includes my new character being apprenticed to the Mages Guild after a childhood incident. Do I have to wait until the applications are introduced or can there be something arranged?

Looking back at what I just wrote, I find that it is a little confusing. To elaborate, I can post that history for my character I was talking about if you want.
