I belive that they will get there own spells once they get to certain status and these might be recorded in a book

Members of the Mage Guild will have the same spells as any other non-guild Mages. ((you can see the spell lists on the Wiki)) Membership in the guild is beneficial however in that, as Slayer stated, it acts as a government of sorts for Mage-users. Any other benefits to being in the Guild will likely be revealed when Magic is released. We also will have members who have contacts throughout Aegis.

If you don't have a journal yet I would highly advise creating one. My own....draw on a bit. But they are quite useful as a quick way for people to get to know you. But make sure you write legibly, please...

Mages are people of learning, first and foremost, I believe. 'Tis never a problem to write up or read books for us. While I don't believe there will be any magical tomes, there may be books keeping track of things involving Magic.

Ummm... Yes people will be able to have other jobs etc... However they are required to visit the tower every now and then to check in and see if there is stuff to do etc... Share stories bla bla bla. However the mages studying at the main tower must be fully devoted.

OOC: Mage application's will likely be up soon, but not quite yet. But keep in mind that not everyone is suited to be a mage. It is a permanent commitment, and before you even think about it, make sure to read Slayer's lore in the history forum. It explains why exactly magic hasn't been available until only recently and also alludes to the fact that mages will be physically weaker than other people, as well as that they will get more weak physically as their magical prowess grows. To start thinking about how you would fit in as a mage were you to apply, make sure to read the lore and start thinking about how it fits in with your character background and personality. [/OOC]

Hwaldar you are foolish for setting this up. The mages guild I have set up had the express permission of Availer, he was actually the one who wanted it, he said I was in charge of ALL magic, who had it, who can use it, and pretty much everything else to do with it. Therefore noone has premission to start any form of 'mage council' without my premission, or Availers. The mages guild is the figure head of ALL magic people in Aegis (other than undead and ascended). Hence I expect this to be disbanded, otherwise I will enforece some other type of punishment.

the only problem i have with that is that it would be a monopoly. and that could lead into a terrable conflict at somepoint if some mages dont agree later on(like when necromancy was banned from practice of the mages guild in TES: Oblivion)

There is no conflict here. What Hwaldar has done is not in the lore, there is not mage council. He should not be doing it, and I expect him to inform the other people he has dragged in to this. Availer wants a smooth transition into magic, this is only going to ruin that. So it will not be going on, I will enforce punishments if this is not resolved.

Oh. And do not worry this will not become a monopoly.

OOC: I have 2 questions:

1. I dont know if this is right but can villains send an app for magic. I head that someone said no but I want to check this first.

2. Say if we have the capped amount of Arch-Mages and there maybe small cities or settlements. Can, if someone had Arch-Mage, move there and teach people of magic (Aka. Learning from books or tomes if there will be any)

3. Say if our bio's are not detailed in the characters life and you want to fix it (Maybe add some run in with magic somehow) Cause when I first joined I rp'd like I came from a different land and came back (Im an elf)

4. (Last one promise :D) Will there be any addons of more magic later on in the future? Like maybe a special spell of you hit a certain rank in the guild?

5. (Ok I lied again sorry I have alot of questions gosh >.>) Can non-mages help out in towers? Like be book holders or disperse books, or be sort of like a front desk person? If so (since I dont know if I am going to do magic you make it sound convinicing) that would help me out alittle bit on my descision.

The Mages Clan,and it's Counsil,has been exsisting far before LotC even showed up,and it's Leaders (Ramir and the others) are not happy about all the bullshit your making up,just to suck up to everyone.
