domainoft 191 Share Posted June 19, 2012 Quoted from Rules Page Rules of War No returning after death. When you die, you lose ~30 minutes of memory. You also can not return to the spot you died for ~30 minutes unless it is your home There are three types of war, Skirmish. Pillage & Seige. To Participate in these you must tell your enemy your terms 5 days minimal in advance. If you have recently taken place in an attack on a village or town you are to not return to that settlement looking for a fight until 3 actual days have passed. (72 hours) A Faction or Guild can only attack a City or nation once every 4 actual days. (96 hours) If a Nation wishes to wage war on another nation, they must wait a week between attacks. (168 hours) This includes guilds / factions allied with attacking nation. There is no such rule listed under any other heading, be it general rules, server rules, or kingdom rules. The only place where the 30min rule is stated is under the "War" section, it has become generally understood that you lose memory, and should not return. Until an Admin says so, or the rules page is updated it is not such.
BraumBi 9 Share Posted June 19, 2012 This is way toooo important than those other silly ideas.... Only certain items should not be dropped on death, such as written books If a written book where to be obtained by another person, the person shall prevail all from the knowledge of the books

This doesn't make much sense and should be changed, but for now, the rules say nothing about not being able to return to your point of death to get your items back, unless you in war. That, or the rules in the main page are not well managed.
Kanrath 190 Share Posted June 19, 2012 It is generally interpreted as any pvp death, but has never and will never apply to encounters with cliffs, fire, or lagging spiders or any other non controlled cause of death that can happen at random and sometimes due to lag/bugs
Ferebrill 14 Share Posted June 19, 2012 Just to say the 30 minute memory loss rule is only under rules of war
Lago 2572 Share Posted June 19, 2012 Keep all items from mob kills (they'll be damaged from the mob killing you anyway), drop from /damage or killed by a player. Written books are kept.

Vanus 62 Share Posted June 19, 2012 What about when a player dies, a chest respawns. Those who kills him, or such can go take from that chest. ( The Loot. )

( The Loot. ) Maybe a tomb instead and you need level 10 excavation, nvm... A character dying from a raw situation like falling off a cliff, the chest may appear on the side of the cliff, perhaps. Rale 18 Share Posted June 19, 2012 I like the Hotbar idea, BUT If it would be able to drop nothing, only if you get killed from an other player would also be an great idea.
Cybele Faye ((jackie1st)) 10 Share Posted June 19, 2012 I'd actually prefer it if the system stayed the same, death is already scary as it is. I'd hate to lose all my things to a pigman sneaking up behind me or accidentally stepping off a cliff, I don't believe I've ever really even PVPed on the server my character mostly avoids combat because RPly she isn't very skilled and it's easier to represent that in an RP fight. I don't think I would mind all items disappearing on death if there weren't so many Fluke deaths, I've died countless times soulstoning and ending up in the floor. As for people not using the 30 minute rule, I've never seen anyone come back after a legit pvp fight to grab their items. I really only see people running back when they've had an "ooc" death like a spider jumping off the roof top and killing them mid-RP. Which as far as I was aware was allowed. argonian 14254 Share Posted June 19, 2012 30 minute rule only applies to when you die from a RP/PVP death. It never did apply to mobs.

TheNander 241 Share Posted June 20, 2012 A 'Runescape' type dropping event is better in my eyes. Instead of dropping your entire inventory w/o hotbar included, I would rather drop everything on the ground in a chest form and keep the three most valuable items. [2] PERFECT! The chest needs to disappear afterwords though.
Elindor 666 Share Posted June 20, 2012 The number of times i have died from bad spawning/teleporting is more than by natural means. i never consider death by a game flaw as real and instantly return to claim my things. if i spawned inside a chair or dropping through the earth and lost everything i'd be severely peeved.
