The Calling Of A War Council

A letter is sent by hawk to the Lords of each of the Dwarven holds and to their advisors on the Alliance Council, as well as to the leading military figures in each hold.

"Dwarves, I assume many of you have heard of my recent actions in calling for an end to hostility with the Uruk and what I soon hope will become an end to the war, at least until we deal with what I perceive as a greater threat. Our lands have been reclaimed and though much blood has been shed on both sides of the conflict, the new Rex of the Uruk, Gorgul Gorkil has called for peace. Our reasons for wishing peace may seem odd after we are on the verge of an invasion of Uruk territory. However, not only are many of the Uruks we fight now, different to those who began the war but they share the same enemies as we in the south.

I therefore, as the standing in ruler of Kal'Anart, in Bazian's abesence, call forth a War Council to convene in Mount Ire in four days time. I have also chosen to invite the leading military figure in each hold to give their advice on the current situation. If you haven't already read the order I issued in all Grandaxe territory a week ago and sent to the Lords of each hold, I would recommend doing so. If we are to truly end this war, that has raged on for far too long, it is for we, the Alliance Council to decide, here and now.

He had not forgotten how the traiterous dwarf had stolen from his hold and years before that had his brother assassinated. He looks away from Hiebe and looks at Morgrim instead as he talks.

Fer long we 'ave fought 'ese savage uruks, but te' toimes 'as changed. Tae Teutons 'as gone tuu far an' we tae Dwarves should muster our forces along wit' te' Uruk's an' put tae Order in teir' place.

Morgrim sits beside Hodor, nodding at his words, speaking his own mind after he he has finished his sentence.
