Wont let me vote, says I'm not voting for all options even though I am. Tried refreshing, still unable.

Other wise I love these ideas of multiple character cards.

Because not everyone has money to throw at new minecraft accounts. It might be simple for you, but it's incredibly arrogant to assume that everyone else is in a position to also.

There are numerous outer ways to earn donator perks as well.

If there was a cooldown of like 3 hours between characters, then this might just work. Maybe actually longer.

New minecraft accounts are purchased via minecraft.net.

Also a new idea... just throwing this out there, not even sure if I like it. How about you have to make a new application for a new character.

Do you really want to add more apps?

Or this. I do agree with you a cooldown needs to be placed but, it cannot be super long. Three hours does seem fair.

EDIT:

No, because that would create so much more work than is needed. Besides you are already accepted on the server you should know the lore and know how to roleplay.

Why does it need a cooldown?

So people don't switch to a character that's a lumberjack whenever they need to make a chest/cut some trees and stuff like that.

EDIT: Also, it could be used like soulstones to escape RP. People could just switch character to move to that character's position in the world.

If you're going to switch to a character might as well roleplay for sometime before going back to your other on. Plus some other things that I cannot remember at this time.

What's to stop them doing that with a cooldown?

The fact that they'd have to wait 3 hours just to switch back would be a HUGE turn-off.

Location and inventory is saved, unless they very obviously had both alts in one place dropping items and then switching, it would be difficult. Putting a cooldown on character switching means that players can get caught out by having used their cooldown too recently and be unable to RP on their alt when something is going on relevant to their alt.

Touché.

"world locations" would mean when you switch CC cards you would automatically be moved to the last place you played that character at, with the inventory you had on that character.

Right, if so, what about adding a small... uh, countdown I suppose? Let's say when you type the command, you have to stand still for maybe 10 seconds, and if you took damage during those 10 seconds the CC switch would be cancelled, like with the soulstone. That way, it would be harder to abuse this in war, as you can not simply go ''*Charges the enemy. Get's hurt badly. Types command. Poof, safe in a cabin far away from the battle''.

I like the idea of creating new apps for new characters, Just because someone knows the lore, and is a good RPer doesn't mean every character they create should have a place on LotC. We force new character apps for VA's, and proof of viable character changes for MA's...why not ask for at least a little in depth thought for alt characters.

I spent a great deal of time working on my alt accounts application...and felt that it was quickly read over and accepted. I'm not even sure they read it over... Literally was accepted within a min of being posted.... If they can read that fast applauds to them.

I'm not saying we should have the App team take care of this, perhaps oversee it instead, I know they are very busy, a simpler version of the app for character portrayal is all I'd like to see, not all the background required to insure the player is acceptable. How many people created a character, played it for a while, killed it off and created a new character destined to become a great mage or druid without the proper research...I think it would surprise you the number. I have seen several asking how to contact a mage or druid on the forum, when the answer should be simple....log in and ask in character.
