KylieBelle 1 Share Posted September 17, 2012 Life has a cruel irony to it, Harold, but the goal should be to learn from mistakes, forgive and move forward. From what I hear, there was a lot of nastiness, miscommunication and hurt feelings. It's better to bury the hatchet and be a unified community again. BraumBi 9 Share Posted September 17, 2012 I remember reading the whole availer thread. 70% hated / 30% support Availer is one of the best role players. I've seen it. The only problem of the past was financing the server, inactivity and all that administration problems. Kicking him was for the better of the server, "at that time". He had struggles in real life which he had to solve himself. Now is an appropriate time to add him back to the staff or at least unban him because the server is doing great in the all three aspects. I can't wait to see him in game, and also, good luck on the future of the server. Time for a change!
Ned Lud 1260 Share Posted September 17, 2012 The Future of Lord of the Craft is largely dependent on the players. A singular shift in administration changes very little if you have a solid player base supporting the server. If you have a solid core of players, the leadership will reflect that. If the core of players becomes very poor, the leadership will reflect that as well. The Golden Age of the Orcs took place during a time when our race was almost entirely devoid of Admin/GM influence. Some of the greatest fun I've had on this server came from orcs and otherwise on my left and right, not a single one of us actively holding staff positions during the peak of our prosperity. I sing high praise to the common players that have stuck to their guns, many of which are long gone. Let us be welcoming and respectful of the administration's decisions, and skeptical where it is due, but let us also realize that the fate of this server is largely in the hands of the player base. The administration and staff does a lot of good work for us on their own time and deserves our respect, but in the end, we outnumber them a hundred to one. Let's worry about saving ourselves. It lightens their workload. When the meteor approaches, some people kneel in prayer and others start building a rocket ship. Forgiveness is good, and even hypocritical forgiveness is a start so long as we call it for what it is. If we're proven wrong, we're sure to learn from it, but let's not be complacent. Welcome back. Cooonie 55 Share Posted September 20, 2012 Ah, welcome back, Wizard. It seems we've only role-played just one time, did we not? I look forward to role-playing with you soon, your "Flashy entrance" was indeed touching, here, on the forums. However, let us see what you've got in stock for LOTC. *Gentlemanly laugh* We salute you. -Rate/Niko/Rin
