Experience: I've been on LotC since early August last year and I have seen the dwarfen architecture grow and evolve. I have taken part in the construction of Mount Ire, the refurnishing of Kal'Dwain and the rebuilding + expansion of present day Karik. Outside of my LotC work, I build most for the sake of alleviating boredom and have some basic-level skills with VoxelSniper. I was also a major builder for the now defunct CivRP server (although that was more generic medieval builds rather then actual dwarf work).

The Front Towers of Karik (( Me and Grabthar had worked on this towers and re modified them so we could set up defences and walk around there.))

The Karik Docks and Lumberfarm (( Me and exodawn had built the docks and a big boat which got stolen somehow so I couldn't showcase that. The Lumberfarm was built by the blackaxes. Me, Boomack, zortjr, and TEEbrown had built it. ))

(My alt account, erlend0501, is already whitelisted on the dev server, where I build for the humans, and in the north for the event team. I'm sort of unsure whether I should continue to build with the humans as I've started to disagree with the way things work. Renaissance ain't really my cup of tea, neither is a gigantic human capitol ready to house 400 players+. This is mainly why I wish to move on. Also for everyone to comment. The city atm is a giant cavern which is nice but it seems too open to me, I was kinda wanting to go back to the carved cities like kal urguan but we would have to start from scratch which is a bummer for exo. State your opinions if you wish,

You could have it tiers coming out. I'm referring to something more like what I did on this picture http://imgur.com/Uzu32 Could have shops on the bottom/low class homes, and on the middle tier have middle class homes, then on the top have higher class homes. As in classes I mean bigger homes that would be worth more. You could also do this with a merchant district and just have shops but would have more space for the shop dealers to put stuff in.
