  1. 1. How should we go about the Soulstone Pillar System?

    • Able to bind to One Soulstone pillar at a time.
    • Limited Unlockable Soulstone pillars throughout world, depending on donator rank.
    • Infinitely Unlockable Soulstone Pillars throughout the world. They're accessible after they've been unlocked.
    • Other, I'll post a comment of my brilliant idea.
    • None, I dislike Soulstone Pillars

I prefered the other soulstone system. In my opinion it's easier to use.

This. Why needs everything to be changed? The old soulstone system that we were using was an amazing system.

I think most of it is from Vaqs stuff breaking and coming apart when they try to modify it or because his plugins had odd dependencies or didn't transfer well to the new host. Basically, with the new coders, all of Vaqs stuff is breaking so they need to code new things in to fix things and/or add their own touch and that's where the change takes place.

I don't like things breaking, but the new stuff is quite exciting and a breath of fresh air from Vaqs style.

Ok, I'm beginning to reconsider after being reminded of the old Aegis soul-stone system. We should bring that back - soulstones default to the racial capital and we can have one extra bind (more for donators).

Idrc what we do with the soulstones I just want the other plugins back up. If you want to know my opinion I say that we have infinity binds. It would be easier to get around instead of risking your life to get from town to town.

Not a bad idea, but without those pillars please. Just the old soulstone, and no strange useless pillar.

Even though I agree to more travel so the Inns and Taverns along the side of the road get attention. To what end would this meet? I have "never" seen an inn keep at that inn that exists on the way to the Human kingdom, let alone the Tavern in Solace. We need dedicated members to take care and run these places, or they are just abandoned and run-down shacks on the side of the road that no one wants to visit.

What are we going to do about this? Hmm?

It's a vicious cycle. No inn keeper ever tends to his inn, because no one ever visits it. Then when people do decide to visit it, no one is there. Then when Aron tries to visit it, and get a drink, his wife punches him in the face, for drinking! We must do something about this abusive spouse system.

Alec, you said that you fixed quick travel...yet it is still broken.

I do like capital cities soulstones, but I would say to be capitals, as in nation capitals, instead of race capitals. Also there would be a chance for non affiliation to nations, that would mean the person instead of being bind to a soulpillar of the nation capital, he would have the choice to place the soulstone anywhere he wished, but would not be able to place the soulstone inside the protected areas.

Let's face it, there are a lot of players that leave quite far from the capitals, and some live in the wilds. Why do those that have a house in the capital have to have a lot more advantages than those that have a house, say, anywhere else? For that, instead of creating a soulpillar in the capitals, create it in waypoints away from capitals in a connection of roads to towns. This way there would be rp in roads, and tavern business, and the posibility of being robbed.

I would say something like the soulpillar would be 300 - 500 blocks of the capital, and maybe 1000-1500 blocks appart from each other in other locations where towns are near. Donations would get you more soulpillars, being able to travel faster between further location, but still have to walk a while to get to the towns.

As for how it would look like, I would say a combination of these:

Orc:

Elf:

With these:

I had some ideas:

Tl;dr - Soulpillars a bit away from capitals and a bit away from other towns to improve road rp, yet not being too boring to travel.

I agree with you. But they have to recode the whole soulstone plugin anyway. So they are asking for people's opinions on it before they code the thing.

Actually this current soulstone plugin is the new soulstone plugin. I have the structure of the code set up, now I just need to play around with it. Though I probably should have done that first. ;)

The soulstone pillar idea I feel is too complicated. The original system works just fine without over complicating things. Despite this, I love the character card ideas! It would make switching between characters so much easier, allowing you to experience so much more exciting RP.

Great job, keep up the good work!

It does? Hmm. I think the character card system is more complicated than soulstones at the moment!

Left click goes to your pillar, and a right click goes to your setsoul. That's not too bad, right?

To clarify, players will be able to create soul pillars, correct?

That's incorrect. Sorry. :\ They can request one to be made though. They still have access to one /setsoul.

Quick Travel is fixed. Only a few teleports are back up, we have to relink everything. Get a GM to rebind it if you find one that's broken.

If I were put in charge of that Tavern on that way to the Human Kingdom, I would make sure to run it as well as I could. So many people pass by there, and the only reason that people don't stop, is because of the lack of an Inn Keep. If someone were to be there most of the time, they would be certain to get a lot of Rp.

Why doesn't anyone want to run that place? I can't think of any way that that Inn/Tavern Wouldn't get customers at least every 15 minutes to half an hour.

What if soul stone pillars have shrines around them that require a donation to the monks for a certain amount of Minas or a certain item and a list of items that are also equal to that item so then you can set your soul there?

*Fangirls at multiple character cards*

I really like the character cards, and I think Soulstone pillars should be given a chance. Limitless!
