Out-Of-Character Information

The simplest section of the application! Simply answer these questions so we can get to know you a bit better.

What’s your Minecraft Account Name?:

How old are you?:

What time-zone do you live in?:

Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?:

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?:

How did you hear about us?:

What do you think the server will be like?

Have you read and agreed to the rules?:

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?:

Definitions

This is simply so that we can get an understanding of how much you know about roleplaying. Feel free to Google the answers, but make sure that you write the reply in your own words, not Google’s.

What is roleplaying?:

What’s metagaming?:

What’s powergaming?:

In-Character Information:

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What’s your character called?:

What race are they (and sub-race)?:

What sex are they?:

How old are they?:

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family:

What are they like (personality)?:

What are their ambitions?:

Do they have any special skills?:

What are their weaknesses?:

What do they look like?:

Anything else you want to say about them?:

Please give us a screenshot of your character’s skin:

Fantastic, there you go. No need to write any more - simply post this on our forums (and on MinecraftForum like it says above) and wait!

Slightly messed up formatting, but here it is!

New player trying to write a bio for the application for an Orc character. Since the Orcs tend to live in smaller tribes(from what I read off the wiki), dwelling in hunting/war incampments, does it make the locations available fairly open-ended? Saying, for example, "My tribe was near this area" but not giving any specific locales, such as cities or villages. I want to try and get this right on my first go. Foresighted thanks for any answers.

Currently, most of the Orcs  occupy a camp near the nation crossing, the "Trog". Before they moved out there, though, they lived in the great desert and jungles to the south, the whole area being referred to as the "Badlands". The capital of the Orc Warnation was San'Orka. Most Orcs either lived inside the capital or out in their clan fortresses.

Any more questions about orcs, feel free to pm me (or any other Orc player) or post in this thread!

I was wondering due to the fact that there are no longer ORQ in the Server apps will you be removing them from VAs as well? Just wondering Thanks

The AT and VAT are different teams, so changes in one do not necessarily mean changes in the other. At the present I don't think villainous ORQs are being removed.

No, currently there is no talk to remove ORQs. They allow us to see how characters will use their evils in certain situations, and that is useful when reviewing an app.

Just submitted my application and got a reply of "-claimed-" with no other information.

If this is a "that name is claimed thing" I'd like to know so I can start again. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

It means that the App Team member that posted claimed will be reviewing your app, though hasn't made a verdict yet.

Best of luck!

How would one become a part of the application team?

What would one need to do?

Do you need to recruit members, get recommendations, what?

I'm just curious.....

How many hours would need to be put into it and what benefits are there as well.

(I am interested in seeing other applications and determining what stays and goes)

To become an Application Team member one must fill out the application found here though at this time we are not recruiting. To become a member my recommendation would be to help out the community and get yourself familiar with the server lore and details pertaining to the server as it will help you out a lot if you are accepted. There isn't a specific amount of time one must work but you will need to be active and do apps whenever you're available. Those are basically the things you will need to do to join the team, good luck with your endeavors!

I'm making a Wood Elf character, and I am really confused about time. How long have we been here and if my character was say, 150 where would he have been born and raised?

Aegis ended around year 1350. About seventy years was spent in Asulon. A decade in Elysium/Kalos. The current year is 1443, I believe, and we've been in Anthos a little over ten years. A 150 year old Elf would have been born in Aegis and lived in all realms after that.
