This is awesome! We are back in business boys! Literally, yesterday I voted and I was the 2nd vote. This is awesome.

Bring back automated voting messages in game with a link, and make an announcement on the front page because it hasn't been getting as much love as it used to in the past two or three months.

The advantage other server have, for example H*******craft (censored it myself to prevent advertisment)

They get alot of money and exp for every vote they do right after sending the vote. By that people keep doing it everyday.

Of course we can't do that...but maybe you could give special blocks that normally can't be obtained or are hard to get (nether goods). So people can decorate things but will need to vote to get them...or trade for minas which could give a nice economical input aswell.

Cheers

HeroCraft I presume is what you are referring to - we actually have more votes than them currently, but our downtime has resulted in us being lower! That's why we need votes to make up for it!

A possibility is introducing a very small mina reward, e.g. 25 minas per vote, as it really isn't going to kill the economy.

I've gone and posted it up on the main page! http://www.lordofthecraft.net/?p=3576

We were actually 16 for a while, about 2 hours to be exact. I wonder if we could get even higher than that. not including the 2 seconds we were at 13. ;)

We usde to be around #16 for days at a time. The portion of players now who are voting, compared to when there was mina rewards for it in Aegis is significantly lower.

The majority of players don't care about the server as a whole. Many don't even log in to the forums. Those on the forums are doing all the work and it is their party. The selfish ones who sign into minecraft only need to be forced onto the forums so that they contribute to the community.

A direct competitor has a huge push on voting. It seems all LOTC can do is say "come on guys, let's vote!" And while I understand the defence of RP for not giving out rewards; we ARE on a temp server. Dishing out massive rewards isn't going to have any impact when we get back to the proper RP.

The numbers are getting pretty high. Nice to be solidly on the front page again. Have to keep up this momentum.

Your right, but do you think this small amount will get more people to voting? I don't know...

It's like fishing...the better the lure the better your chance of catching a fish. You should think of something more interesting then 25 Minas.

cheers
