Biography: After losing his home to the fires of the ending days of Al'khazar, Gooms decided to move on with the rest of the orcs to the land of Asulon. Needing a place to stay, he joined the orc army and was given a small, hallowed out stone room under the Uzg to live in. Name: Mayah Danid

Gender: Female

Is your character currently alive? Yes

If so, what is his/her age? 19

Race: Human

Biography:

Mayah was born in the Kingdom of Renatus, just outside of its capital, Arethor. She was sheltered through her early life, rarely leaving her home. She was brought up to be a polite, intelligent girl. Her five brothers were all very protective of her, and she was very close with them.

As each year passed, she longed to know more about what was outside of the places familiar to her, instead of sleeping, she would stare at the stars until her eyes could no longer hold themselves open, imagining who else was looking at them. When she turned 10 years of age, her parents started bringing her into Arethor, this delighted her, and she would constantly plead to go back. This worried her parents, and they halted all trips immediately.

A couple of years later, when she turned 14, two of her twin brothers left to travel, they had finished classes and were ready for Asulon. Mayah asked if she could join them, and they did not want to leave their sister behind, but they declined for fear of her safety. She knew that without their consent, she could not go, so she begun to think about how she could escape, she was never successful.

Many years later she was close to turning 18. All of her brothers had left by now, and she was ready to explore the world. Her parents were getting old, and she had to decide whether to stay with them, or to leave. Luckily, one of her brothers came back to look after them. Her other brothers had gotten married, had children and families of their own. She soon turned 18 and left her home to travel around the Asulon.

When Mayah left, she headed to Arethor where she met a man named Tiberon and another man named Amon. She asked them both about work and they led her to a place named Khabbi where she worked as a farmer for a couple of weeks. While working as a farmer she stayed in Amon’s attic. Another man was also recruited at the same time as Mayah, he became the guard of Khabbi. His name was Wulfric. Mayah got on quite well with Wulfric and he would often come to visit her when she was farming. She also got along well with Amon and they became very close.

One day when she went to Arethor to sell her wares she met a girl named Ava. Ava and Mayah soon became very close and Mayah would often talk to Ava.

Back in Khabbi Mayah met a man she called Gal. He was very kind to her. One day Ava came to visit, they were all standing around talking when they were raided suddenly by strong men in diamond armour. The men made them all sit in the town hall while they decided what to do. They decided to claim the town and begun to leave before deciding that they wanted Mayah to come with them. Mayah was dragged with them and she knew she would be forced into slavery. Some kind men in diamond armour decided they wanted to save Mayah, so they fought the bandits and Mayah managed to get away.

When Mayah got back Gal took her back to his house. Ava wouldn’t leave her side. Gal gave Mayah food and alcohol and asked Mayah to marry him. Mayah agreed but woke up in the morning to regret it. She left him a note and ran.

Ava and Mayah decided they wanted to live together so they were given a farm in Crestfall and a kind man bought them a house.

Amon and Mayah were constantly talking to each other and soon Amon confessed his love for Mayah. Mayah was shocked and had trouble deciding what to do. She knew she would hurt him but new she loved him too. She pushed him away again and again.

Ava soon fell in love with Wulfric and he loved her too. Wulfric spoke to Mayah and he said he loved someone other than Ava, too. Mayah felt very protective and told Wulfric to tell Ava or she would herself. She later found out that Wulfric had loved her as well as Ava. She told Ava and they both left.

Mayah struggled without Amon and soon they gave in, their love for each other too strong for either of them to resist. They would go on walks and talk for hours, they were finally happy.

Wulfric came back later and pleaded to Ava, claiming that he never really did love Mayah and that he was thinking strangely at the time. Ava was very angry at Wulfric and refused him. He kept pleading and she began to fall in love with him again...

Name: Arlen Aulauthar

Gender: Male

Is your character currently alive?: Yes

If so, what is his/her age?: Almost 100

Race: Wood Elf

Biography:

Sckolar Aulauthar was not always an elf who lived near other elves. Arlen's life began in Aegis out in the wilds. He lived with his father for a long time. Arlen's father was an elf known as Eldar. At the age of 5 Arlen had begun learning the very basics of the bow. Although Sckolar was too young to understand a lot, he learned bit by bit as he grew, slowly learning how to hold the bow, and arrow correctly, and by the age of 10, Sckolar was able to hold the bow, and fire the arrow correctly. At this time, Eldar felt that it would be neccisary to teach him how to fight with a sword. Although Eldar had little experience himself, he knew how to use a sword. Eldar was quick with the sword, and quicker with the bow, and within 6 years, Sckolar could swing a stone sword without being thrown off balance, as well as handle it sefely. Every now and then,

Sckolar, and his father would go hunting. But at the age of 16, that is when everything went wrong. Eldar, and Sckolar saw a pig. It was day, deep in the forest. The pig was about 50 feet away from them. The young man, and his father could see the pig, it was in clear sight, and a good shot away. Eldar notched his arrow and took steady aim, and then fired the arrow, hitting the pig in the head. This pig was going to feed the entire family, so it only made sense to go get it. "Alright lad. We did it. Once we get back to the house, ye and your mother are going to be having pork soup!" Said Eldar. Some thing was no right though. Sckolar could feel as though something was wrong. "ummm, father... I-I do not think..." Said Sckolar. He felt as though they were being watched by someone... And it was true... Eldar finally was up close to the pig as Sckolar watched. Eldar reached to pull the arrow out, when all of a sudden, out from the forest came an arrow, hitting Eldar in the chest. His father fell to the ground motionless as a hooded figure in a cloak walk up to what appeared to be Sckolar's dead father. After pulling out the arrow, the figure just stood, and stared at Sckolar, showing nothing except his eyes. One eye was red, and the other was yellow. Sckolar ran away terrified, and thankfully, he got away with his life. After that day, Sckolar decided to run away from his mother's house to keep her safe, running to Oren, then to Cloud Temple. After finding Cloud Temple, Arlen decided to spend his time in Malinor, where he met other elves. Although Sckolar lived with the elves, he was so nervous, and did not trust anyone, except this young girl who looked a bit older than him, This young girl's name was Maraline. Maraline was a young elf with long blonde hair, and yellow eyes. Sckolar felt as though he could trust this young elf. So they would play games together, talk, and as he did so he felt as though he was learning about elves bit by bit. Although Sckolar made a friend, sadly she disappeared mysteriously, never to be seen again. Sckolar searched but never found this girl, and until the age of 24, Sckolar's life was not very eventful... Up until the undead came... After fleeing to Asulon, Sckolar was then known as Arlen. Arlen was not sure what to do upon arriving in this new land. All he knew was how to cut trees, fire an arrow, and at this point, could weild an iron sword. So for a long time, Arlen would explore these new lands, sleeping in trees. As Arlen explored, he slowly raised minds, meeting new people as he did so. He made good friends, such as a man named James, Almecki, Arzota, and many others. Soon, Arlen raised enough minas to buy his own house in Normandor. Arlen decided to live in a hanging home, believing that the trees were always safer than sleeping on the ground. Although Arlen had a nice life, he grew very attached to those that he had met, and decided that he would defend them the best he could. Although Arlen tried, he could not always succeed in defending them. Arlen's life in Asulon consisted of checking on those he cared about, helping them, and working at the farm in Normandor as a Lumberjack. What saddened him was the change that the orcs went through. Slavery had become Arlen's biggest enemy, and was not what he remembered from the orcs in Aegis. So Arlen decided that it was not the orcs that he hated, it was slavery itself, along with the orcs who kidnapped other elves into slavery. This is where Arlen grew to be much more brave than ever, and from the time that he lost a friend to it, right up until present time, Arlen swore to defend his friends from anyone who tried to take them into slavery.

Name: Orym

Gender: Male

Is your character currently alive? Yes

If so, what is his/her age? He's in his 17th decade (170 something)

Race: Mali'aheral (High Elf)

Biography:

Orym was born in Aegis, about fifteen or sixteen decades ago. His parents cared for him until he was five, which is when they gave him away to Laurelin where he would learn the culture of the elves and other things about his race. He was taken in by a woman who, at first, taught him about the culture of the elves and other things that Orym would need to know once he matured however, what she failed to do is teach him right from wrong, and even though Orym didn’t know it, would be horrible for him in his future.

Orym lived happily with the woman until the age of ten, which is when she began to get greedy. She began to teach Orym how to lockpick so he could do her bidding and steal from others. She also set up scams in which Orym would be forced to act out being hit by a wealthy man’s carriage or distract someone so his mother figure could go in and steal something from an honest merchant. He was also forced to do things such as beg, even though his so called ‘family’ had more than enough wealth. Orym, being a child, decided one day that he didn’t want to steal, so he refused when his guardian told him to. This was a fatal mistake. The woman went slightly insane and beat Orym with her golden staff. Bloodied and with hatred in his eyes, Orym walked out of their home to go steal from the family that he was assigned to by the woman. In his anger, however, he realized that he had the option to run away, once he figured out how to be a good enough lockpick to pick the lock on his mother figure’s “special chest” that he wasn’t ever supposed to be able to touch. So that night, he decided to actually pay attention to the woman’s lockpicking lessons to be able to at least have a chance at picking some of the lower-quality locks.

Ten years went by, Orym becoming better at lockpicking and having more hatred than ever for the selfish woman. He had spent the past month devising a plan and was ready to go through with it. He waited until the deadest time of night to sneak up to the woman’s room, where he began picking open the lock. After two hours and about seven broken picks, Orym barely managed to pick open the first lock of the chest. Angered by his lack of skill, he snuck down to where the woman kept here food and began to look through it. He eventually found a key, which he ran up the stairs to use on the second lock that was on the chest. Sure enough, it worked and the lock fell off the chest with a click. Orym then opened the chest. Inside he found a set of reinforced and engraved hard-leather armour that looked as if it had been stolen from a king of some sorts. He also found an elegant long bow and two swords, one being of iron make and the other of golden make. He also found a bit of food and some arrows. He quickly took the items and after the items had been removed, he lifted up a red cloth, revealing a golden crown that was diamond and emerald encrusted. Orym’s eyes gleamed as he picked up the crown, when he heard her devilish, chilling voice, “What.. are.. you.. /DOING/!” Orym then replied “I’m erm..” The woman then drew her blade and slashed down at Orym. In his panic, Orym lifted one of the swords, barely blocking the attack. Scared, Orym ran up to the woman and threw all of his weight against her, causing her to stumble back then fall, hitting her head against the wall. She tried to rise but then was hit with the hilt of one of swords, rendering her unconscious. Then, Orym quickly slipped on the armour, fashioned the red cloth into a hood of some sorts, then grabbed the rest of the items and slipped them into a pack. He then ran for the gates as fast as his legs could carry him.

Orym ran far away from the city, into the wilds. After a few days of living in the wilds, he went into the nearest city while wearing a hood and decided to stay in one of the taverns. Orym, not wanting to stay in the same place more than once, moved on, while of course, stealing from chests here and there when nobody was looking.

A few years went by, Orym honing his lockpicking skill and stealing to get by. He held on to the crown because he didn’t want any lesser merchant getting ahold of it. However, one day while exploring a city, he found a wealthy merchant in need of artifacts. He told him to go into the man’s back room, where he showed him the crown. The merchant’s eyes widened, but then, before Orym could react; he ran out and locked the door behind him. Orym, confused, started to stack things up to reach a small window at the top of the room. Once he was about to get out, four guards bust down the door and then ran over to shackle Orym. Still confused, he asked why he was shackled. All they said was something about him being a thief. Orym was dragged through the city and then brought before the king, who asked how Orym had gotten his father’s crown. Orym tried to explain about the woman but the king wouldn’t believe any of it, and sentenced Orym to ten years in prison. At first, Orym thought it would be easy to escape, but once he realized that there were four locks, he knew that his last pick would break before he could escape.

Orym’s ten years in prison changed him, making him angrier each day that went by. He waited and then he waited.. and then finally, one day he heard some of the guards walking over to his cell. Curious, he looked out to see keys in their hands. At first, he didn’t know what to think, but then they undid the locks on his cell door and told him he was free to go. Shocked, he asked where his stuff was. When they didn’t respond, he pretended to leave but then went scouring the castle, looking for his things. He eventually decided to check the jailers’ office and found a chest marked by “Crown Thief” inside was everything he had ever owner, except for the crown. He quickly took the items and began to don his leather armour. After a few minutes, he had put on his face-mask and hood and was off. He exited the castle and then ran out of the city. After he had gotten far enough away, he vowed that he would use his lockpicking skills to break others out of jail, if they paid well enough, that is.

Orym then decided to go into the wilderness to get away from the guards and such of the major cities. He always kept moving, exploring the wilds of Aegis and stealing from a few camps here and there, If he happened to come across any. After decades of being in the wilderness, Aegis began to fall, and Orym realized that he had to go the boats if he ever wanted to make it into the new world. He ran day and night, stealing horses wherever he could find them. He barely made it to the boats, where he hopped on a boat to Asulon just in time.

Once in Asulon, Orym ran far away from the others, not wanting to take chances. He then did what he did in Aegis’s wilds except that now he was able to steal from developing settlements as well. One day, however, Orym realized that he hadn’t lockpicked in a long, long time. He thought back to his training in the art and remembered some of the lessons he had learned. He then just picked locks for practice, normally not even taking anything unless it was needed by Orym. He smiled with joy every time he successfully picked a lock. After he had gotten back his previous lockpicking skills, Orym realized that he not only stole so he could stay alive, but he also enjoyed the thrill and adrenaline rush that it brought him. With this knowledge, he was able to sneak around with delight and pick locks with even more joy.

Once Orym had turned his 13th decade, he decided to find some elven city to live in. So, he went back to the cloud temple docks and took a boat to Normandor. Once there, he met an elf named Feranhir, who showed him around a bit. He decided to buy a home in the city after a few days of being in the city. He then put all of his items in a chest and then continued to explore the giant tree. About an elven day later, Orym decided to join the city’s guard, the Sentinels. He and his fellow Sentinels guarded Normandor from Flay, Orcs, and other lawless foes.

Two years went by. One night, the commander asked him to show him where he thought a slave might be. This slave was being kept by Orcs, and they were wondered where he had gone. Orym explained that he thought he knew the way and that he knew that orcs were keeping him. He led the group into Arethor, into a small town near Oren. Someone shouted something about a lighthouse and the group picked the lock and then broke into the lighthouse. They looked around for some type of lever or button but couldn’t find one. Then, a squire appeared and asked them what they were doing. When he got no answer, he ran back to Oren. About an hour later, the Flay had come, and Orym ran. He hid on top of one of the roofs and watched as the group he had led either got knocked out and robbed or ran.

Once Orym got back to the city, all of the Sentinels were called over to the Barracks, where Prince Isirack and Princess Elene yelled at all of the Sentinels, and then disbanded them. Saddened, Orym and all of the others didn’t know what to do. Orym just decided to stay in Normandor for a little while. After a few seeds, the Vanguards were formed, which were to be the new guard force of Normandor. At first, Orym thought that it would be alright, until a few days passed and he realized that the new Commander, Elene Silverwind, didn’t care much for the guard, making gate duty almost never happen and many law-breakers able to roam around the city in which he lives.

Orym then neglected his guard duty for a time and stole quite often, which brought him pleasure. However, even though stealing delights him, he remembered how entertaining being in the guard was and he also knew that he would need some sort of ‘cover story’ so, he rejoined the guards under Glylith, after Elene had resigned from the position.

Orym then continued to steal but, now he also paid attention to his guard duties and did them well. Eventually, Earenniel became the high commander and Orym continued to do what he did when glylith was the commander, except that he paid even more attention to the guard.

When Earenniel was commander as well as when Feranhir was the commander, Orym realized that he wanted to help malinor more than just being a guard. He did this by slaying enemies of his nation before they even get to the nation’s lands to harm the people of his nation. Orym also developed a more acute sense of paranoia during his time stealing due to him thinking that the people that he’s stolen from are ‘out to get him’. This causes him to attack the foe if they even hint at attempting to end his life. Even if they have no intentions of touching Orym, if he believes that they are a threat, he might attack.

Orym now continues his old life of thievery as well as paying attention to his guard duties. He also might kill enemies of more often when none of his superiors are paying attention to him. He enjoys what he is doing now which is why he continues to do what he does.

Name: Ebs Telrunya

Gender: Male

Is your character currently alive? Certainly.

If so, what is his age? 314

Race: Mali'Aheral (High Elf)

Biography:((This was very long, so I condensed it a bit))

Ebs grew up on a farm outside of Ravenhold, and had a fairly happy childhood. His mother had died in childbirth, and his father had been remarried to a Mali'Ker, and they bore Ebs a brother named Aulus, who would later become the Royal Smith of Renatus. Ebs grew up in the fields of his farm, learning how to tend crops and to manage a farm. He left home when he was around 60 to join the wardens, soon after his father had died during the battle for Kal'Bryst. After a short career in the wardens, he gained enough money to buy a quaint home in the back alleys of Laurelin, and went into the tavern industry. The establish himself, he took the job of supplying food and supplies to the Therving Tavern in Al'Khazar, and made fast friends with House Therving and their manservant, Will Forestin. He opened his first inn in the city of Oasis, and his second in Laurelin. His third was in construction during the fall of Al'Khazzar, and it was in the thickest clouds of the miasma, which did not allow for any recovery of the supplies stored within.

Ebs somehow always managed to get mixed up in everything in Malinor, and often found himself called upon to lead elves when the council was not around. He spent several months in the Orcish lands, during which he and Indelwehn signed the famous Malin-Krug pact, which established a defensive alliance between Malinor and Krugmar. Ebs spent most of his free time working on a Library in the Great tree in Central Laurelin, but he never managed to finish it, even with the help of his friends Cerlos and Amras. Ebs did his best to contribute to the war effort against the undead, but was hindered by the Wardens, who served their own purposes, not Malinor's. After years of the wardens failure to defend Laurelin, High Prince Native was finally convinced, in part by Ebs and Deltaro, another elf, to cut the ties between the wardens and Malinor. A new Vanguard was established, and Ebs and Sythra, both of whom would rise to the council, were put in charge.

At some point, High Prince Native was called away, and stepped down from High Prince, and in his final act, crowned Ebs fourth Prince of Malinor. The first order of business was to elect a new High Prince, and after hours of debate and infighting, the council narrowly voted Indelwehn into the position. This started a quite large debate to to whether female princes would be called princesses, and what the council woudl be referred to, and whether or not Indelwehn's second husband, Bircalin, would be High Prince. Ebs was put in charge of housing in Laurelin, but, unfortunately, not many new elves were arriving at the gates of the city, most turning to the new seat of power in Galahar for work.

Ebs played an important role in the fall of Alras, organizing a refugee camp for the Alrasians and establishing an Alrasian Embassy in Laurelin proper, smoothing ties between the new allies.

The fall of Aegis came quickly, and much to Ebs' angst, the council repeatedly shot down his attempts to build stornger fortifications around Laurelin and to establish a more viable base in the Verge. After the fall of Aegis, Ebs left the Council, choosing to help found the fledgling state of Haelun'or. Ebs was appointed Okarir'Acaln of Haelun'or, and his job was to foster trade with other nations. He was working on treaties with the Dwarves, Holm, Renatus, and Hansetti, when he abruptly disapeared, going on a journey to visit far away family that needed his help. Now, with the destruction of Asulon, Ebs has washed up on the shores of this new and hostile land, intent on helping his newly reunited nation in any way he can.
