I'm sorry but to be frank I don't see what's with all the whazoo about brothels being removed. I've seen a brothel being active in my whole time on the server here ONCE.Sure, it might make for some roleplay in the city. Sure, it may be accurate to the time. However, we really need to think if they're truly beneficiary to our roleplay.

Call me a softie but I'm twenty five and I still think it's a little creepy to walk down the streets of a city and hear "Debby strips off her nightgown and fades to black with her customer."

It's not like we're voiding all of their roleplay either. Just roleplay as if they've shut down. It's not like there were any real truly active brothels anyways.

As for brothels being accurate to the time, so are general stores and blacksmiths. Why not open one of those instead. I'm sure it'll give you more business then a brothel anyways as more people would want to play as a blacksmith/blacksmith's apprentice or a store clerk than a ***** [pardon my french].

I think what people are upset about is the idea of "No- and you can never again"

Meaning, if I was like "SEE THAT AWESOME 1200 COMPUTER for only $100?" and you were like "YA!" and I said "WELL YOU CAN NEVER HAVE IT" that's what it's like. You never used that computer, but now you can NEVER use it, so you feel like you missed out. I do agree, we almost never use brothels though...

How do we word things about this ?

First of all explicit rules were always in place.

Everyone knew they weren't to happen.

They did on a small base.

Heck, players like me even checked other players age before I did my villianous rp, because I was and still am a torture lover. I love to torture beyond imagination. Yet I asked for their proper ages and I never would involve any sexual acts nor anything wrong.

Putting rules up for yourself is a key.

But restricting the roleplay and the options to be free in an open world of roleplay is killing yourself.

I do not play anymore, yet I visit the forums very often.

The very fact I got silenced merely for telling the truth is saddening.

The very fact that you have done this, without talking or asking the opinions of all the GMs or the more part, is very saddening.

Not to even speak that certain Admins didn't know of this, is even more saddening.

Yet I am not the person atlead, nor can I voice my oppinion with the respect I earned.

For I have been silenced by merely another human with a higher rank.

Preventing the banning of yet another ranked person.

You could ofcourse delete this post, like I believe you will.

Or you could let it stay and let the community see the truth.

Reasoning why people that were long involved in this community suddenly stop posting.

Stop participating in roleplay.

Back in the days I once had this gm comming to me, " Could you ask the age of your.. well.. erh.. victims ? Before torturing them severly ? " I was asked, and I agreed with a smile. Because why not ? I don't want to hurt people afterall.

I used to torture people on real time based schemes. My longest torture rp has lasted for 5 days or was it 6 ? YET ! we did ofcourse do sleeping breaks and we had to eat and school, so let's hold it on an average of 60 hours, in detailed torture.

I do understand that this is extreme, yet I was one of the last people that still made mines with reinforcements. Yet I was one of the last people that would roleplay out how I washed my hair.. how I would climb out of my bed. How many of you have roleplayed, taking your pillow and giving it a soft swing so it doesn't get all flat, right.. exactly. It wasn't extreme rp compared to my other rp.

Yet people did know me on the server, hopefully for good roleplay :D

Tasting her beautiful metal like flavoured blood upon my lips as I gave hers a gentle kiss, staring deep in her colorless eyes as I could lose myself, had I not pulled back from the desire to walk forth, while watching her eyes, balacing on the edge of my tower, swinging her legs gently around as the cold skravian breeze made me shiver in pleasure, feeling how yet another soul had been released from it's chains to mortality, yet another soul would fly and serve my goddess.. Now I've heard people who thought, " DUDE it's a game.. don't go so extreme ", yet I've also had people who admired my indepth rp, my will and eager to describe the smallest detail. YES, there are minors playing on the server. BUT, and you should know this danny, if you put that disclaimer up then there is no need to restrict roleplay.

Because in all honesty, many roleplayers moved, merely to see good roleplay.

And that doesn't mean the roleplay on LotC is bad.

No, you're merely restricting it.

You are restricting the way of how detailed we can be.

or I write around 100 sentences on how precisely my blade would cut through the soft and tender flesh and skin, getting a gentle resistance of her upper skin for a mere moment as my blade would gently cut through it, not giving the slightest sign of blood until I would give a 3 degrees swirl at my hand because a mere shiver ran along my spine as I pulled my blade back, causing it to cut out a slight piece of your flesh as blood gushed out of the deadly wound, slowly turning my back and walking away, knowing that not even the a healer could help you now. Slowly bringing the blade back up towards my mouth as I grazed my teeth gently along it's edge, picking up the small piece of flesh and giving it a quick bite as I swallowed it at once, savouring the bloody taste in my mouth.

Also, you are taking people' ability to play canibals or tortures away.

Honestly, and no offense Villains, but you are taking their possebilities to give the community GOOD roleplay, away.

If you look at it that way.. it are the rules you are making that provide the reason to meta.

A good death will not get meta'd, unless you are too good and never get caught.

It seems you go maybe in detail considering your roleplay. But that doesn't mean that other people can't go further than yours. If 2 people love eachother rply and they think that they should have a child and wish to rp this out they may use FTB. And do it in skype or whatever..

EXAMPLE: " No son don't take the chocolate ! Don't take that delicious big chocolate santa clause there ! "

You bet it'll be gone next morning !

If you restrict something too much, it'll be more fun to do it.

Many people still have a childish side, and that's the main part.
