I'll ask this again. Does LOTC have a lawyer? If not, they should acquire one and find someway to avoid getting sued in the first place.

Have you, or your family, ever gotten sued? Ever had to get a lawyer? They are incredibly expensive, far more than LotC can afford. If we are being accused for sexual exposure to under aged, then we would have to spend quite a bit for a lawyer.

We're a Minecraft Server, not Bethesda.

Some of the most popular MC servers had an attorneys, why not LOTC?

With this new rule set up it isn't the servers fault if someone is exposed to sexual things and decides to sue. I don't think the server could get sued for it now which is generally a very good thing. This is something that had to happen, although it is a bit strict I see where the admins are coming from.

When Vaq took over from Availer, he said the server earned 1000s a month. Unless the server's revenue is much lower now, we should be able to afford something.

I would like to point something out: Many games are rated M on xbox/PS3, yet I've seen children that are nine or ten play Skyrim (Sexual Themes, violence/torture) Halo, Call of Duty Black Ops/MW3, Left for Dead, Assassin's Creed, and the list goes on. When a child plays these games at home, their parents had to have been there when the they bought the game/bought it for them, knowing full well that it was rated M, which is supposed to be 17+.

You've added a disclaimer, which is good, but I don't see the point in these restrictions. If someone is breastfeeding their child, I don't see how that is bad at all if they aren't graphic about it, yet the 'baring of genitals' rule was put in place. In this time period, there would of been a lot of prostitution, because that's how it was in that time period. Anyone who learns about medieval would hear about this at school, so I don't see why it's outlawed here if it's not graphic.

What is the number that defines an orgy? 3+?

No, it is six.

1 Person - Masturbation

2 People - One on One

3 People - Threesome

4 People - Two Couples

5 People - Two Couples Swinging With an Extra Bat

6 People - Orgi.

Prostitution of any kind is not permitted; this includes brothels or street prostitution.

Orgies are not permitted on the server.

I find some issue with this. Seeing as, as long as the proper FTB rules are followed, there should not be a problem with these two things. Prostitution and brothels are, or were, quite common in the time period LOTC finds itself in. As to the whole "Graphical Violence thing" and trying to pander to the younger audience on LOTC. This is rather wrong. LOTC has always prided itself on being a mature server, and children under the age of 10 should be playing something else. Instead of trying to please the tiny amount of young players on this server, or disgruntled parents, how about we continue what we do. I mean, my character just got brutally tortured today, sure, it was somewhat graphic, but it was fun. To put it simply and to quote a fellow Frostwitch of mine (Who are being severely nerfed by this whole ordeal) "There is lap the fact that gory rp shouldn't be restricted because we're supposed to be a mature server not mlp land"

Why can't we just put up a disclaimer, say, "On this server there may be extreme blood and gore blahblah legal stuff blahblah" and keep the stuff we have now?

Btw, why can't we just do this?

You're either contradicting yourself, or you haven't seen their roleplay. It's a lot more detailed than that.

It's an example. I've seen Geo's roleplay, and it's not as terrible to the extent that we consider too graphic.

Who decided this? Don't we have a say in this?

It was decided by the Administration team. In-case you haven't noticed, like all my other posts have stated, there's one new rule in this - and that's the part about prostitution.

No, two. The rule that we can't be really gory anymore. And please don't say you've seen every char on the server RP at their goriest moments, because that's not even possible.

I didn't say that I had. I am aware however, and most people who have encountered them in the past would agree - Geoboy and Knox are the two goriest roleplayers we currently have - and they don't breach the point that we're capping it at.
