Please, for the love of god, turn off the mobs, or make the radius of their detection down to one block! They are wrecking /every/ RP situation on Kalos for me. It has to be PvE to even LIVE on Kalos ATM. I cannot even type a single emote without a skele sniping me, or a creeper spawning beside me and blowing me up!

OK, rant over. Please, stop with the mobs, they are an annoyance and hindrance to RP. Nothing positive or fearful about them. They just wreck what the server is about, and leave you having to stop typing and kill them, or lose stuff it took weeks of RP to get.

EDIT: In addition to my rant, I had some loser from the Roses steal all my stuff, and act like HE had killed me, not the mobs.

I was under the impression they were going to be heavily reduced in the next island.

Unless of course it's already being worked on.

Eh, every time I've actually seen you, you've been locked in some big tower which is impossible to get in without breaking some blocks (Even your secret entrance is covered with placed cobble blocks). I mean, that itself kinda breaks RP as the bad lands makes you feel more 'evil'.

And most of that was absolute lies if I'm honest. "You're lucky to get a roar"  you used roar so I'm going to assume you mean Orcs. well, in fact I was out in every hunt we did last night in the bad lands, and that didn't happen once. When me, Pok and Craotor broke into that cobblestone to get into your secret entrance was because a man named Solaba13 took us there and told us thats where the entrance is, so he then broke it down as we charged in. After that people immediately started running using MC mechanics so Craotor just shouted "Hunt dem!" which started the PvP.

Though if you did see the things listed, or do see them in the future, take screenshots because as far as I'm aware, it's absolute lies.

Regarding the cobble breaking thing, yes there's a secret entrance, so if someone found it then we would be toast. I'm just saying from the fights that I got into/my friends got into - very little roleplay was done at all. It was a mob running up, shouting 'kill them', then pvp was initiated. If this is how it was intended then that's okay, but I figured there would be a tad more roleplay involved before swinging swords.

As for solaba13, I /believe/ he escaped us earlier. He knew about the tower, but the secret entrance that broke through was more of a mineshaft. I literally have no idea how he found it from the outside besides using the name plates, because the tunnel was undisturbed until (he) broke into it. If he had stumbled upon it earlier, then I guess that would make sense, but I don't recall that happening.

Like I said, all the towers have secret entrances of some sort. Their going to be taken over eventually, so I'm doing everything I can do protect them until a mass of White Roses levels it or something.

I was hoping to make a base area where I could enjoy all the different VAs that are automatically unlocked, but when all you need to do is shout 'KILL DEM' then PvP, there's no time or way to do that..

Umm ok, well I'm not sure who simply runs around shouting "kill dem" but I'd suggest taking screenshots if you see it again.

No Rose stole your stuff, you were killed near New Arethor. We didn't even say we killed you. So please dun call us losers

Also, if you want to go to the badlands, go ahead. If we have a pvp area, who really gives a rats arse? Those who want to make sure their PC assassin characters cannot die if surrounded by three orcs. Well, good on you GM team. Let's just hope 3.0 is on the horizon!

Regarding the badlands..

I've been at them since the new server areas opened, and I have a few things to say. I haven't died thus far, so I've seen everything :)

Firstly, they're too nice. I think the land is great, there are plenty of trees and animals, and lots of lush, green grass. I was expecting a more 'orc' like land area.

Additionally, I see little to no RP being done at all in the areas. PvP consists of armored men rushing and killing, maybe you get a shout or 'roar' if you're lucky. People are griefing into structures in the badlands without roleplay, not even bothering to put up signs. While I understand buildings are discouraged from being made.. there are 'villain' groups that will likely set up camps, forts, and such and prey on passerbys.

It seems to be treated more as a PvP server area than a LotC area with PvP allowed. This disappoints me greatly.

I also see lots of potential for the badlands, but I also see lots of cheap play. Digging straight into a mountainside to reach someone's name plate and kill them is not fair at all, nor is it fun.

Oh well, that's my view on this area. I think the most fun occurs when you have small groups of 1-4 people meet each other. If it's a group of 10 fully armored orcs, then you know everyone within chasing distance is going to die.

I think if we had done the compromise where everyone gets full VAs, that would have been the best course of action. While we may have all the VAs now while we are in the badlands, it's useless.

How can I capture and enslave someone if it's instant-PvP, or how can I torture when we just instantly PvP. Very few camps or forts will be made, and those will only be made by the daring.

I assume many 'bandit' or 'slaver' groups will continue work elsewhere, since the Badlands are anything but a roleplay area.

There is supposed to be very little RP happening. It's more like a warning system than actual RP.

That people are digging into mountains to get to nameplates is bad, but remember: This is very, very new. People are still getting a handle on what they can and can't do. We can't get too negative about it when it's only been out for a few hours.

Also, big groups are SUPPOSED to be in the badlands. The whole point of them is that you're supposed to go there with enough protection to survive. Not all alone with some bread just to look around.

Unless of course it's already being worked on.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as a region flag or typing in a few commands and poof, everything is set normally. For mob spawn rates to be lowered, we need it to be hard coded in, which is something that only a couple tech members can do and none of them are online 24/7.

We'll notify them of course, but it may take time.

Awesome.. gonna get on later today! One question though... Can one actually live in the " Bad Lands " If there character goes along the guide lines of its meaning.. Like My character loves chaos and havoc .. so It would make sense ( at least to me ) for him to live there and edge on the chaos.. I just want to know if it would not be against the rules to actually settle there.. ( Im speaking a single home of course )

Again I'll ask, where are the badlands?

There's a map of Kalos in the OP. :)

Are soulstones fixed yet?

Not yet, although the plugin has been broken for quite some time so we may have to take it down completely until we are able to fix the issues.

It is not against the rules no, although if you read the IC part of the Badlands it says that it causes corruption of the mind AND fear. This means that even if your character is chaotic and already corrupt, merely going to the Badlands would make him feel fear, so unless he's able to embrace it or ignore it, I don't think he'd want to stay anyways.
