Greetings again everyone :)
 
With this thread we'd like to announce the opening of the 2.5.2 map, Kalos. Sorry for the long wait, but the good news is that the time on this map will be the final waiting period before the official release of the long awaited 3.0! The lore isn't much more than the basis of a ship at sea stumbling upon these nearby, uninhabited islands, so it wasn't much use to spend time writing up an extensive write up and hold back this release even more. The GMs are currently in the process of setting up fast travel to and from Kalos, so we'll be ready momentarily!
 
Some final decisions and information regarding Kalos:

  • As stated before, there are four islands for the main races, the badlands, and just a few very small islands up for grabs, but now there is an island for the kharajyr and one for the halflings as well
  • The fast travel is located at the main docks of Elysium where each of the racial ships are portals to their particular island
  • The only regions are those over the four main racial islands, as well as the islands for the kha and halflings
  • Nation Leaders will be given ownership of their own islands and can hand out perms to anyone who requires them
  • Players are NOT required to leave Elysium, they are free to stay if they don't want to move
  • Information regarding the much discussed and controversial badlands:
    • OOC; after consideration of the poll, "conditional PvP", where both sides need to agree to PvP in a fight, is not a requirement in the badlands, and villainous activities are allowed without a VA in the badlands, but ONLY in the badlands
    • IC; a "mysterious presence" can be felt upon entering the badlands that brings fear and corruption into the minds of all who enter and causes malicious behavior
    • The badlands is meant to be an area you DON'T want to go to, building a home there might be considered against roleplay! It's called the "badlands" for a reason!
    • Knowing the exceptions to the rules for the badlands alone, keep an open mind and do NOT go there if you plan on ban reporting anyone who attacks you! It's meant to be dangerous, after all!

With that being said, enjoy the new map!
 
EDIT:
Forgot something rather important! In the badlands, RP is still required! Do not go around No-RP killing, as that is still against the rules and will warrant a ban.
 
IC UPDATE:
After a fair amount of time surveying Kalos, a group of cartographers have managed to create an accurate representation of the land. Here is a replica of their work: Map of Kalos

EDIT 2:
Forcing other players into the badlands (whether done IC or OOC) so that you may force PvP on them will not be tolerated and is punishable! The badlands are meant as a place you may go voluntarily for danger and PvP combat, and you cannot be forced to go there.

Edit: Maybe it's about time for the elves to move and find a forest... instead of a mountain. :o

What if someone no rp kills someone else in the normal lands? How will you know that its the good or bad lands?

Can't say I'm all that pleased about the decision taken on pvp, but oh well~ We shall see how it turns out. :]

To anyone who thinks the Badlands is a bad idea, I'm not sure how this affects you in any way, if you don't want to be associated with it just stay away from that place, no one is forcing you to go there.

I'm glad that's the reason that was chosen for the badlands allowing for villainous behavior. It's a much more interesting place to me now.

Agreed. The 'evil presence' is pretty cool as well; will definitely make for some interesting RP.

Awesome, thing is I cant find any distinction between badlands and nation land, this can lead to some issues...

It seems soulstones seem to be bugging though. I teleported into the void when I tried to use mine. Could this be a bug from the new island?

Yeah, I ended up dying. It might just be when you're in the new map.
