Aiden 173 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Currently, the elven city in 3.0 does not have a name. This is a bit of an issue, so we, the build team, are asking you to come up with suggestions and post them here! If see a name that you like, perhaps give it a +1 to show that you like it? If a name gets a lot of support and the council believes that it is suitable, then it might just be used! Try to make the name smoothly come off of the tongue so that it is easy to say, and make it sound 'sweet' so to speak. Also, take note of these two points made by rittsy: 1) Decide what we want the first letter to be 2) Decide what we want the last letter/suffix to be So what are you waiting for? Post your suggestions now! Poll added! Vote on your favourite choice(s)! OP is in the above spoiler.
Volutional 935 Share Posted January 26, 2013 I think the first letter should be L - (Laurelin / Lothlorien) And like my examples from LoTR and Aegis; The last suffix should be = -elin or -ien

Amicus Adrianne 0 Share Posted January 26, 2013 I like the sound of A for a first letter. Something like Alseen, Alsun, etc. sounds good to me.

Baconthief 682 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Laurelin is what I want to see personally and I'll fight to the death to see to it that it's : ) Edit: I change this idea, something elvish! We have it for a reason. Also I'd like to see something new
Praetor 1550 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Lamlaelin Lorloath Maliovir Lelaiovir Lirilien Lothirilien EDIT: Alvanien Alssali Alavalia Assalior EDIT 2: Ali'Herien Larie'Lion Caras'Galarien The first letter should either be L or A I think. It should end in "-ien" "i" or "ior" I believe.

501warhead 1796 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Telperion*. It's a name that has a decent bit of special meaning, especially in this case... Pointers if you get why I'm mentioning it. *SLOWEDIT: Miss-spelled :

Praetor 1550 Share Posted January 26, 2013 Telpirion. It's a name that has a decent bit of special meaning, especially in this case... Pointers if you get why I'm mentioning it. I don't really like the idea of pretty much quoting an LoTR name for our use. I know I used Caras from Caras'Galadon but I did change a nice part of it. Here you changed only one letter, I think we could be a bit more original. ^_^ Though I'm aware it is not the name of a city and well one of the two Valinor trees, I just think we should invent it ourselves.
