Hello Citizens of Aegis.

Patch 1.3_12

-We are aware of the recent chest wiping bugs. These are actually caused by LWC. LWC locked chests were randomly being wiped for no reason whatsoever. To fix this issue we will be moving to Lockette. A different plugin, you can google how to use it on the internet or check out or wiki, there will be a page there concerning Lockette.

-For the next three days until the 14th of August we will be having both plugins online. You MUST re-lock all your LWC chests with lockette. Again, lockette will be a donator perk only. This will hopefully fix the wiping issues.

-The great Pig Zombies that have been terorrising the roads of Aegis are now fearful of the sun. A great spell was cast by The Wandering Wizard, they now are unable to appear in day light. But becareful of them in the dark.

-Quests will be added, however not extensively, there will be only a few and its in testing as we speak. They may be removed without notice.

-Check out the forum for any events that will be coming up this weekend, we will be choosing a new player of the week, working on more exciting livestreams and videos for the playerbase as well!

-The Skill system is being worked on by our Lead Programmer and will hopefully be ready for release very soon.

-Please remember to vote daily!

This is slightly odd because we had some non-LWC locked chests in a protected region that got wiped somehow. There weren't any LWC locked chests anywhere near them, but chests right in the next room didn't get wiped. ((BB check showed up nothing and a GM told us it was a bukkit error))

I have used Lockette on other servers before and must say that it is very easy to learn and use.

Will the Pigmen still be aggressive when out at night and will they burn in the morning sun?

Will those with access to Lockette be able to lock other chests for people?

Lockette will run similiar to LWC. You can set it up for others yes.

Pig Zombies will be aggresive during night.

Bukkit still causes SOME wipes but I believe its fixed with the new Dev build of Bukkit.

I am not too thrilled about the new locking mod. It is just insta-meta when players can see who is allowed into my house, or who shouldn't be allowed in my house but it when people aren't looking. I have attempted to hide the signs with moderate success but it is just an eyesore.

I also am having trouble using it on double doors. It only accepts one sign to lock it. But when I open up one door they both open up and only one closes. In walk the pigmen and bandits.

Can anyone confirm if Lockette works for trapdoors?

I only recently believe I got 15+ char MC names working on chests.

It's the only way to fix the LWC chest wiping. We were forced to move lockette.

Must say I'm not too impressed with the new lock mod :(. In addition to the hassle of having to redo permissions for around 10 people to over 20 chests there isn't enough room on the chests for the number of names. Also what if someone's username does not fit on the sign?

Is there no plugin similar to LWC that we could use that isn't as wood intensive?

The rest of the updates seem pretty cool though, looking forward to those :)

I'm a bit confused about this. In the last week I've had the same chunk, full of signs, protected, and regular chests, wiped twice. Is this not even related to the lwc wipes, or is it somehow affecting all chests and signs too?

Also, I have to agree with those above me. Lockette is going to be a pain when you have locked doors for a base with 15 people. I really don't want to have to redesign my base to fit a bunch of ugly ooc signs.

Of course, like you said its not really your choice. So I'll just deal with it =3
