What is this?

 

This is basically a RP-Guided project, where a culture I'm writing about will be developed via roleplay. This culture, which I call, The Hidalgö, is basically a new culture, with similiarities in roots to Orenian Culture, yet developed in a different way.

 

 

Why am I posting this?

 

I require initial people to start this project with. Namely, people versed in both English and Spanish.

This culture will have it's core language the Spanish, which will easen the burden of the language to some people. If you are versed with spanish, you will have no trouble getting into the project, HOWEVER, if you speak only english, you may not be what I'm looking for.

 

What will be the culture? Any basic idea to share?

 

In real life approach; ancient Spaniards. Mostly versed in writing and sailing, this culture will be small, but entwangled by deep background roleplay, which will make your roleplay much more fluid and, in the end, will provide a better produce to the people who watch you roleplay.

 

If you speak spanish, you should already know what entrails ancient Spaniards; Gold-diggers, scribes, inventors, astronomers, politicians, sailors, revolutionists and merchants. Some are even all those mention previously, at once.

 

How would the RP begin?

 

I initially require any sort of people, altough a woman would be nice, not due to any personal twisted stuff, but since it would easen the roleplay when it comes to marriage and such. No, I'm not asking for a wife.    

 

 

How do I contact you, and what do I need to be one of the people who will begin developing this culture alongside you?

 

You need to be versed in english and spanish, at least spanish to some extent where you can keep up a conversation. You should also know how to do " Ñ " On your keyboard. You can contact me by;

Closing Words

 

This is by far a work in progress sort of culture, where nothing is set on stone, by becoming one you'll effectively become a motor to the culture. This culture will be denoted for being almost "Family Culture" and may spread more, but that's my primary goal. The culture development will be slow and steady, but with good ideas on mind, we'll know we'll get there.

 

By the way, the lore on this culture won't have to go through YIAL as it will be developed via roleplay, which means you don't have to worry for any sort of lore-approval, as long as we keep it nice, legal and dandy, we'll be able to do it just fine in RP.

I would love to see this emerge, though je ne parle pas l'espagne. I remember from reading the Alchemist that Hidalgos were spanish nobles.

Hidalgo is an ancient spanish word, from about the XVII Century, that means "Noble". Altough it can be misinterpreted as "Poor Noble" or a noble that is in enpoverishment, member to a dying house, this case is treated as such because in this century, most houses in Spain were under great pressure by the crown, this was restaured by the Borbon Revolutions on mid XVIII century. However, to be honest, Spain has always been the black-sheep of Europe, yet, it holds many deeds done, as it was the first to have discovered and pinned down America's discovery, unlike the Norwegian Vikings, who were shunned away by the native-americans.

Indeed, mostly based around Spanish, this culture stems off the rots of Oren, developing into something quite different.

I play Octavio Adrianus, with the aspect he is a foreigner.... AKA Spanish or Italian Sailor, but I am fluent in Spanish/Italian so sounds cool to me. +1

 

I frequently say Buona Fortuna, which means good fortunes(luck) in Italian in character.
