Eww a skill system... Please someone tell me this will not be like Vaqs... It was absolutely terrible to share skills for all of your characters and was the worst ever! If I wanted to fight mobs and level up I'd be playing an MMO right now... I want to roleplay! I don't want to have to spend all my time killing monsters. And why are their only coal mines? Coal is basically worthless, and even if it was needed people can always make charcoal. Just my opinion, and someone please inform me further.

Why is the un-regioning of the forests and the like so frowned upon? I can understand land scaring but there was barely any of that in Kalos. I think the player base is responsible/competent enough to not land scar.

This...is...great! All of these new changes are wonderful and should help the server greatly. I'm expecially happy with the fact that people are now required to try to fix things OOC'ly before making a Ban Report...this is wonderful. Thank you Danny, and the rest of the LOTC staff!!

People asked, so I'm answering. No, this skills plugin will not be like Vaq's. That skill system centered on realistic restrictions but offered little to no benefits that made it worth while. On the other hand, this skill system---- well... just wait and find out!

I like the changes so far, but the only thing i have an issue with is the requirements to communicate with offenders before reporting. There's too many offenses and and situations where it's not that simple. For example, no rpkills and pugsying. These are situations where the offenders know what they did, and communications are pointless.

 

Pulling a pugsy, logging out of RP, abusing game mechanics to extremes, metagaming, metastalling.

 

That and many more.

Some cases can be so severe that communication shouldn't have to be necessary. Long story short, if you break the server rules, you should be punished.

One thing i will not stand for is metagamers. They ruin RP with their lazy, selfish and toxic behavior. They are the reasons why I walk around with FRAPS on, and why I have to screenplay frequently. If someone somehow legitimately found out our secret plans and used it against us, or somehow discover that Clark Kent is superman without rply knowing, then I will not hesitate to ban report unless the offender is new. Sorry, if you're a vet, and you do this, you should be punished. You know better.

Running Fraps all the time seems a teensy bit paranoid don't you think? I don't mean to be rude, but not everyone you RP with is going to meta/powergame you. Sure, it happens a lot, but running a recorder all the time is odd...Even if someone meta-games knowingly, or you think someone meta-gamed, it really is best to try and talk to them, even if you need a Gm/Admin to moderate. Heck, there was an incident last night that could've escalated into a Br but it was able to be talked out. Confusion and mistakes happen, and trying to talk to someone really is the best option, maybe you could even get it sorted without need a BR!  Wouldn't that be great? People resolving their issues without squabbles on the forums... People will get more defensive if you post  Br on them rather than politely talking to them in a PM. I really like the Rule, and everything posted here is FANTASTIC. I'm super happy things are looking up again!~

I thought the plan was to unregion specific building areas so the whole map doesn't end up like the Wilds. Will we get a list of where the unregioning is planned for before it happens? I don't want to see places like the orcish jungle get butchered.

GM rules should be visible to the GMs and their Admin overseers. There's no reason to make them visible to normal players unless we want to open ourselves to people evading punishment on technicalities and all sorts of petty drama.

If you're really that paranoid about metagamers then I think you should take a break. Don't speak so high about yourself either. Metagaming is one of the most easy things to fix about a player out of all rules. All I see you talk about is 'metagame this, metagame that.' There is absolutely no reason to report someone for meta gaming unless it is extremely severe. Any other way can be talked out. You yourself act selfish and hypocritical by refusing to do so.
