I wish to assume the role of a "Pathfinder", as I hold little patience for menial tasks, am not fit for front-line combat and, as stated before, do not wield magic. Scouting and keeping quiet are two skills I possess and can utilize with moderate ease.

 

What combat skills have ye? 

I wield no melee weapons past short-swords; my physique is not capable of balancing strength into larger weapons, so I stay close to daggers and the like. Otherwise, I "excel" in wielding an arbalest -- a light-weight crossbows that can hit targets at medium range.

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,

strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

After scanning the general region around the structure for traps or possible ambushes, I would approach the ruin and examine both it's defining features and the details that would be scattered around the land that surrounds it. This would be all I would do, however, as I am not fit to explore ruins that may hold surprises that I probably not appreciate and dangers I cannot handle. The information gathered from the site would be relayed to my superiors once I returned to Ac'talareh.

 

2.)While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figures

in the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out

what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".

 

Utilizing the guise of a common bar-dweller I would remain in my seat and make discreet effort to listen into the conversation. Any information garnered about this artifact would be subtly recorded upon a pad of paper and when the pair had dispersed it would make way toward Ac'talareh to report the information.

 

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a

masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a

necromancer.

Seeing as it is not my duty to defend conspicuous hooded gentleman nor assisting violent masked people, I would not tarry with the two. If anything, I would study the hooded figure for any specific details, and should I find him in the future unscathed then I would try to pry knowledge from him with the assumption the masked man was correct in his accusations.

I’m capable of wielding any type of sword, to a degree. I’d say I’m adept at the art, and I usually use either a dagger or short sword when faced with a combat situation. Overall I prefer to use diplomacy over the blade.

1.) You come across a massive ruin of ancient design,strange sounds and lights emanate from within.

 

The lights that shine and the noises the howl from within the ruins show that the ruins may be occupied, or already scavenged of any useful artifacts and are now resident to beasts.  To be cautious, I would view the ruins for a little bit from a safe distance to see activity that goes on. I would than return, and get several other Delvers to assist me in clearing the ancient site and hopefully retrieving ancient artifacts of intellectual value. 

 

 

 

2.)While at a local bar you see two dark hooded figuresin the corner discussing in a whispered conversation. You can't quite make out what they're saying but you clearly hear the word "artifact".

 

The two figures may be dangerous. Many wear dark robes: necromancers, cultists, and other figures that could pose a threat. I’d walk up to the two, and engage them in friendly conversation. I’d slowly try to ease my way in to the conversation, and hopefully charm them in to telling me about this supposed artifact. If not, I’d wait for them to leave the tavern and follow them from a reasonable distance. I’d hopefully be able to eavesdrop, and if lucky they’ll lead me straight to the ruin. 

 

 

3.)Walking down the Anthos Highway you come across a masked man with a sword threatening a hooded figure, claiming he is a necromancer.

 

The argument is none of my business. If the hooded one truly is a necromancer, he can surely fend off a simple masked bandit. I would walk off, not thinking of the odd, albeit unfortunate, situation again.

Seyer is just laying on the grass outside Ac'Talareh. His ears twitch at the footsteps of new comers an irritating sound for him. Sitting up dusting the grass off his back and giving a soft growl.

"Too many new comers and kids in this guild. It's been like this for a while and I just can't get used to it..."

Giving himself a stretch and a long yawn. He drops his body back on the grass and starts snoozing off again.

I dread to think of the day I’d have to ever

lift a sword. I have not ever required the use of aggressive force to make ends

Damien approaches the structure with the utmost of silence, but not in stealth,

it is merely his nature. He would peer through the doorway, tilting his head to

one side. He notes that the coast is clear and moves to proceed forward; he

takes slow and light steps. Damien studies the markings on the walls, if any,

and attempt to discern their origin from the one of many history books he has

read in the past. Upon discovering the source of the sound and light he sees

that it is emanating from some sort of ancient magical device. Nodding to himself

he at first studies it from a distance, and then would swiftly return to whatever ‘base
camp’ had been setup prior to the ‘delve’ and ask for aid in a puzzle that was
too large for him alone.

they are miners. Listening closer he would hear them discussing an artifact they
discovered while working, they mention not knowing what to do with said
artifact. Damien frowns slightly, and sips his drink, noting what the two
miners had said. Pursing his lips in thought, he files the information away in
the recesses of his mind for use at a later date, if necessary.

*~+~* The Departure Of A Pure *~+~*

This message is to all Delvers and to all who reside within

Ac'talareh. I, Ceruberr Asul'Ailer, have decided that the time has come to leave the

Arcane Delvers until a time when the impure are expelled and the Delvers no longer offend the 

maehr'sae hiylun'ehya with their existence. Many reasons surround my decision to leave, 

however the reason above is my main concern.  The 'Regents' of the Delvers now seem to make

decisions without even consulting the members within or perhaps thinking what
effect this may have upon them. Then again, we now seem to recruit any creature which

approaches our gates. The new 'Initiates' or whatever the

Regents now call them seem to lack not only in intelligence or skill,

but they also lack manners or common decency. 

Now I talk directly to the Regents.

All sense of organisation and formality seems to have

disappeared.  As mentioned above, you make decisions without 

consulting the members within and occasionally without the

consent of Polgrath himself. You recruit those which do not benefit us at all,
merely another mouth to feed or another to
house. 

I would like to elaborate further on these topics however I

am unsure of how much longer I can dwell within this stone ruin. My only wish
is that a sense of formality returns to Ac'talareh. And the impure depart.

 

I hope to return one day.
