Character Name: Darazor Edain

Character Race: Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Darazor Edain is 28 years old and is very brave, has a very well understanding of different races and has a very warm heart but is not afraid to kill if necessary. Darazor had a very normal childhood. He had a mother and a father. His father was a blacksmith and his mother stayed at home and cared for the house. During Darazor's youth, he learned to forge and hunt. In present times, he is a master swordsman and archer. Because of his father's wealth as the only blacksmith in the village, Darazor could get any type of toy he desired. But, Darazor loved the act of archery. When he was 10, Darazor was given his first bow, He practiced every day on dummies made of leather and stuffed with hay. Soon he was taught to hunt wild animals with his bow from a butcher who was an excellent archer. 5 years later, Darazor was so good of an archer, every shot he took struck the animal straight in the eye. Darazor eventually got tired of the bow and moved on to the sword. Like I said before, because of his father's wealth, Darazor was crafted one of the most fine swords with a beautiful handle and sharp tip. Darazor practiced with the dummies just like he did with the bow. But to keep his steady aim, Darazor still practiced with his bow for half of the time. He still continued forging in his spare time.

After 6 years, Darazor was already at the age of 21 and a man. By this time, he became the village's only protector when needed. Darazor was fully trained in the skill of forging, swordsmanship and archery. He decided that he wanted more out of life. So, Darazor prepared for a trip to explore the world. But before he could start packing a large group of orcs attacked the village. Darazor was deciding which direction to head when he thought he felt a small earthquake. He was wrong. Darazor soon saw the orcs heading towards him. He ran back to the village to grab his bow and sword. He then notified all the able bodied men to prepare for an orc attack. When the orcs finally arrived they were fully armored and difficult to kill. Darazor killed more than half with his sword and did not get the chance to use his bow yet. Right when he was getting the arrow to shoot an orc he saw his father get struck in the abdominal with an axe. Darazor ran to his father but soon realized that it was to late. He was furious. Darazor went blood drunk. He struck one orc in the foot and left it there. Then he took his bow and shot the same orc multiple times, Finally, he took his sword back and went to the next orc. Darazor dodged every sword, axe and bow that went towards him and kept completely destroying the orcs. After every single orc was killed, Darazor saw that no man survived. The only ones left were the women and children that were safe in the underground level of a castle close by. So, seeing that he was the only man, Darazor had to...repopulate. There was a funeral held for all the men that helped in the battle. 7 years later the children that survived that attack were men and had restored the village to it's former self. Now, Darazor has a beard, mustache, brown eyes and mildly short brown hair. He took over his father's business but soon gave it to someone else. Darazor now had the chance to explore like he wanted to 7 years ago. So, he packed food, some tools, his bow and his sword. Then he set off, not having any idea what to expect. And that is where is today in present time.

What are your characters ambitions?: Darazor seeks to explore the world going to each race's homelands and study how they live and their cultures. One of his ambitions that he seeks but does not really think it is a top priority is finding a good place to live and start a blacksmith business. He is not really interested in starting a family but is thinking about it.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Although Darazor is not educated, he still knows proper etiquette and is always helpful and kind.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

Because of Darazor being in need of supplies after a long journey, he gladly buys a lot of what the dwarf has in stock. While doing so he starts a conversation. Darazor begins asking where he is from and what his name is and they soon go on to very detailed topics such as their childhoods, family, what they want to do in life and other things. After an enjoyable conversation, Darazor gives the dwarf an extra large bag of Minas and says "I do not want you to refuse. You seem like a very kind and hard working person who deserves this. Please take it."

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?
Darazor would say "Hey you ugly Orc! Over here! Why don't you come here and fight me!" While it comes towards him he grabs his sword but does not pull it out to intimidate it. When the Orc is close enough Darazor would yell to the dwarf, "Run! I can handle this Orc!" The Orc then becomes distracted by the running dwarf and Darazor pulls his sword out and stabs the Orc right in the heart. (Darazor would not have killed the orc if it had not been threatening the dwarf at first.)

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

Although grabbing the bag is tempting, Darazor knows that it is not the right thing to do. Darazor helps the old man up and walks with him making sure not to let go to a nearby tree where he spots a branch. He then walks the man over to the tree and tells him to hold on to it. When he knows that the old man is safe, Darazor takes out a knife and carves the branch into a walking stick. Darazor then walks over to the man and walks him to the road and hands him the new stick. The man thanks him and gives him one coin.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to deny this -

Your definitions for meta-gaming and power-gaming were confusing and I believe incorrect.

Your character, in my opinion, is too over-powered. I suggest making a few "cut-backs" so that he has some negatives to balance the positives. Also, you don't mention any official LOTC lore within your biography. You can find this lore here - http://lotc-wiki.wikidot.com/wiki:humans and on the human role-play subforum.

You seemed to have made up an ORQ rather then answer the correct ones. Find the official application here - http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/80614-official-application-format-application-rules/

You may reapply in 24 hours. Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns. Good Luck!
