Royal Wedding

Church-Bells ring in the capital city of Abresi, signaling a wedding is taking place. As many members of noble families flow into the Imperial Palace and take their seats. Imperial Guards stand in all corners in the room, they stand at the ready to attack on sight anyone who looks of a threat. The music begins to play.

The crowds heads turn towards the door as they all rise for the bride. Allison is escorted down the aisle by her brother, Count Codrik Green. She is wearing a long white dress, with a green trim to it. They arrive at the throne as Codrik releases her arm and turns and goes to his seat in the front row, Allison turns towards Mirtok and smiles at him and he smiles in return.

The crowd takes their seats once more as the music fades away, all eyes are fixed on the bride and the groom.


“We are gathered here in the sight of God and these witnesses to unite King Mirtok and Lady Allison in holy matrimony. As followers of Holy Light, they know that God ordained marriage as a sacred bond between man and woman, a divine institution of monogamy and holy love.

King Mirtok and Lady Allison, as you prepare to take these vows, give careful thought and prayer, for as you make them you are making an exclusive commitment one to the other for as long as you both shall live. Your love for each other should never be diminished by difficult circumstances, and it is to endure on this mortal world and the divine one beyond. As God's creations, your marriage is strengthened by obedience to your Heavenly Creator and His Word. If you should let God’s will guide your marriage, He will cause your home to be a place of joy and a testimony to the world.”


“Doubly blessed is the couple which comes to the marriage altar with the approval and blessings of their families and friends. Who has the honor of presenting this woman to be married to this man?”

Codrik stood once more, “I do.” The pontiff gave him a slight nod as he took his seat once more.

The pontiff took a slight breath and turns back towards the bride in groom and continued on,

“King Mirtok and Lady Allison, you have made a solemn decision in choosing to marry each other today. You are entering into a sacred covenant as eternal partners before God. The quality of your marriage will reflect what you put into nurturing this relationship. You have the opportunity to go forward from this day to create a faithful, kind, and tender home. We bless you this day. It your charge to keep the blessings of the Creator each and every day of your lives together. We wish for you the wisdom, compassion, and constancy to create a sacred union.

King Mirtok, do you understand and accept this responsibility, and do you take it as your duty to create a loving, healthy, and happy marriage?”

Mirtok looks directly into Allison’s eyes and nods “I Do.”

The Pontiff nods once more and turns towards Allison

“Lady Allison, do you understand and accept this responsibility, and do you take it as your duty to create a loving, healthy, and happy marriage?”

Allison looks back at Mirtok, a faint smile on her face “I Do.”

The two looked at each other for a moment longer before they began to share their vows.

Mirtok stares into her eyes and begins to recite his vows, “Allison, I give you this ring as a symbol of our vows, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. In the name of the Creator, and of the Divine, and of the Holy Light. With this ring, I thee wed.”

Allison looks back into his eyes and recites her own vows, “Mirtok, I give you this ring as a symbol of our vows, and with all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you. In the name of the Creator, and of the Divine, and of the Holy Light. With this ring, I thee wed.”

As the pontiff took a moment of silence, he bowed his head and made the holy symbol before looking back up at the couple.

“King Mirtok, you may now kiss your bride.”
Mirtok nods slight and smiles at Allison as he leans in and pecks her on the lips.

“I introduce you the newly wedded couple, His Majesty King Mirtok I and Her Majesty Queen Allison I, the Queen of Hanseti.”

Thomas Chivay blinks, and then smiles, and then laughs, and then walks off, wiping a tear from his eye, "Haha. Oh wow!"

Auvian Valois Whispers to his aunty Countess Rose Valois, halfway through the ceremony "Wasn't this the lady that cheated on Alexander and made him nearly kill himself?"

Rose watches the ceremony silently, her hands clenched in fists at her side. After several moments, she realized Auvian has asked her a question. For a moment, she thought the question had been lost to the wall built by her sheer hatred, but after a few seconds she recollects the question. She nods her head slightly, turning to whisper quietly to Auvian.

 

"Yes, she is the one who broke off a six year engagement because she was fond of some other man. I feel sorry for the DeNurem line, as it seems the next King likely won't truly be of it."

 

She shakes her head quickly, glancing around to make sure that nobody had heard her. Confident that no one had due to the very low volume she spoke at, as well as the fact that it was just her family in the surrounding pews, she lets out a quiet sigh, turning her hateful eyes back to the bride.

Coltius Green wipes a single tear from is eye; he turns away from the couple.

"Day grow up so fast..."

 

Coltius sniffles, wandering off, looking for a tankard and some wine.

((To the best of my knowledge, Grant never agreed to voiding their many years of being engaged... I realize the character has changed, but both parties generally have to agree to voiding RP like that. I'd suggest talking with Grant))

(( It was done right after the character was taken up by a new player - and completely fell out of the personality and history of the character and the House as a whole. It wasn't something we voided simply because we didn't like the outcome, it didn't fall under the character to do so, and the player was aware of this fact, and had been warned numerous times before. You have my apologies, however.))

*Alexander watches from the back of the church, hood covering his head, shadowing his face*

". . ."

*He is dead silent, taking deep breaths, his face red with anger and confusion, his fiancé had left him, only to invite him to her own wedding.

When they ask if anyone objects, he walks out of the church, his boots echoing through the silence, causing some people to look back. Hoping one may be Allison*

"******* betrayed me, lied to me, and now she does this..."

*He mounts his horse as the wedding lets out, a small glistening is seen from the shadows of his hood, that of a small tear. He rides for his manor, walking up to his room and simply sitting down at his desk to think.*
