A scroll is placed upon the notice boards of Leumalein, Salvus and Vaerhaven.

Mali'Laurir
The Noble Elves

With the growing racism and ignorance of the Mali’Aheral, they left behind those of a more righteous path. Those of the High Elves who feel that their kin have lost their way, that their time disrespecting the other races as inferior have blinded them to the knowledge and wisdom that can be gained from other walks of life. There are those that do not wish to associate themselves with this new idea of “Blessed Elves”. They feel that this name is more of an insult than an identification. These are the ones that call themselves Noble Elves... Mali'Laurir.

Maehr’sae Hiylun’ehya

The old belief. The progress of knowledge and health. A good belief, but it has been tainted to mean more than its literal meaning. Us Noble Elves follow a new belief... one that fits us better...

Maehr’naelu, Hileiaehier'ehya

To teach wisdom and to find peace. Us Noble Elves value wisdom and understanding above the purity and superiority that our kin value. We still seek to hold purity, but in a sense of spirit. Those of us who treat our fellow Noble Elves with respect and kindness will never be considered impure. While Mali’Aheral focus on their purity and seclusion, us Mali’Laurir live among our Elven kin and among the other races. This leads us to a greater understanding of the world around us and a general appreciation of the insight that the cultures of the other races provide.

Similar to our Mali’Aheral kin, we Mali’Laurir value knowledge and purity. However, we have a different view of what purity is and we also value wisdom as much as knowledge. Knowing something is of little use if you don’t know how to use that knowledge properly. While physical purity isn’t as much of an issue with Mali’Laurir as it is for Mali’Aheral, only a pure-blooded High Elf can hold the classification as a Mali’Laurir. If they’re a halfblood, they’re seen as such and respected as a person. Not truly accepted as a Mali’Laurir, but not outcast as they would be with Mali’Aheral. Us Mali’Laurir are generally seen as the kinder High Elves, judging others by who they are, not by their race or preference in company.

So we extend our hands to you, High Elves who are pure of heart and wish for nothing more than to learn and be accepted. Let us not be known by what the name of Mali'Aheral has become and what they have branded us as... but let us be known for what we are; Mali'Laurir... Noble Elves.

The writing on the scroll is in Elwen's unique handwriting. If you know her well, you know she wrote this.

((This is not a new subrace. Mali'Laurir are still High Elves, they just call themselves a different name to separate the different ideals of certain High Elves. High Elves such as Elwen and Jon of the Mages College, and even Truthseeker83's Vallel would fall under the description of a Mali'Laurir and could legitimately call themselves so if they wish to in-character. This is purely in roleplay, so no one is forcing you to call yourself a Mali'Laurir if you don't want to.))

Kalenz spots the sign and mutters "There are three types of elves in this world: Dirt elves, cave elves and high elves. Mali'aheral are another race entirely. This is simply an excuse to dull the pain acquired from lessening one's place in the world by becoming impure". Kalenz twitches and a purple script appears on the poster:

You are still inferior.

Carduin stands next to the Sohaer Kalenz in the Silver City, his head bowed in deference. Upon catching wind of this heretical teaching, he bristles noticeably in his black overcoat. Pushing his round spectacles up his face, he wrings his hands together quite greedily and cackles in unctuous tones.

Finally finishing his strange laughter, he begins to speak.

"The feckless mali'valah are not aware of their own depravity and inferiority? Perhaps we ought to remind them of it."

((No. If you read the original post, Mali'Laurir (Noble Elves) are a subculture of High Elves, like Mali'Aheral are. Mali'Aheral means "Blessed Elf". They've just been associated so long that they've become almost interchangeable. Mali'Laurir are a different group of High Elves that have different morals than the stereotypical Mali'Aheral High Elf. The "Impures" as the average Mali'Aheral would put it. I hope this clarifies things for you.))

Vallel spots the sign traveling through Leumalein upon reading it she comes to an idea. There are others out there like myself. Who see the corruption the mali'aheral bring to this world with there views as they outcast any born without 'pure' hair or blood even lifestyle choices. Vallel stands up and decides to add a note unto the one posted.

"This proclamation is supported by myself and my family. All High Elves who do not live by the biggotist views of those in your walled up city may join me as I try to gather the Mali'Laurir together. All of those who wish to gather together meet me in Vaerhaven in my temple.

Singed " Vallel Yuln Ehier’maer : Leader of the Fallen"

*Nienna Stares at the message blankly. She's never found a description so similar to herself before... but dare she risk such classification? She continues down the road, pondering this heavily.*

Jon reads the note, noting the handwriting.

"Well, that's interesting. I suppose the Mali'aheral have their issues. Then again, does any race not? I suppose this is what I am, mayhaps. At least my message got through to her, though. Quite concerning."

Jon wanders off again, most likely into Malinor to spread the word.

Khel spots the notice and begins to grin, stopping in his tracks as he does so. Khel runs a finger down the length of the paper whilst speaking to himself in a low guttural whisper

"They are still faerie rothe to me"

*Igor rips off Vallel's poster and places it into his pocket and mutters*

"Hrm, t'at was easier tehn expected"

*Igor then walks back to Kal'Azgoth and and shows the legionnaires the poster*
