Timmeh! 154 Share Posted June 4, 2013 A single Sariant rider rides into Salvus, as he arrives many citizens gather around him.The Sariant looks around, scanning over the crowd to make sure there are no threats. He nods, not seeing any as he lifts his visor, his stern expression still fixed on the people as he begins to speaks.“People and Citizens, Lords and Ladies, Princes and Princess’, Kings and Queens.”He pauses for a moment, looking over to the gathered Hightowers, bowing his head for a brief moment before speaking again.“I am a Sariant, a proud member of the Teutonic Order and a loyal one. I came to speak the truth to you today, the real truth that is held behind a bedding of lies.”He breathed out slowly, still scanning the crowd“I am sure you all are familiar with the Order of the White Rose, the ones who speak to protect peace and all that is right in Oren. This is a lie. The White Rose speak of doing what is right yet the side with the Blackmonts, or if you know them by a better name, the Flays. The same Blackmonts and Flays who attack this very city daily, the same Blackmonts and Flays who murder and pillages towns everyday, the same Blackmonts and Flays who attacked His Most Holy Imperial Majesty, Emperor Horen IV. These are the men the Rose sworn to keep stray from the Holy Oren Empire to protect what is right in The Holy Oren Empire, yet they join the side of the Blackmonts?!”He pauses for a moment to calm himself as the crowd talks with themselves, before turning back to the Sariant.“Do you really wish to stand behind these men, these Roses? The same Roses who stand behind the men who do all these horrible thing, The same Roses who swore to protect you from threats like this?”He moves his horse around a bit, looking over the crowd once more and coming to a halt next to Ryder, nodding down to her.“The Sariants have always been here, and always will. We play this game of war behind the scenes, we make sure no harm comes to any innocent man or woman. We’ve stopped countless riots in Kingston, countless Blackmont attacks and we shall keep doing so as long as the people, you all, stand at our side in support. We protect what really is right and we have one goal . . . Removal of these thieves, murderers, and slavers that call themselves Blackmonts.”The Sariant turns towards the gate and lowers his visor, looking back to the people, his voice now seems a bit muffled but still booming with power.“Who will you side with, the ones who side with these murderers, or the ones who fight to remove them. The choice is yours.”He turns his head towards the Hightowers once more and bows his head“Your Highness’, I bid you all farewell.”He shouts something in an not-so-common language as the horse quickly speeds off out of the gates of Salvus and onto Abresi to preach the same thing. Before long he heads back home to Castle Greywynn.

◀ Doone ► 54 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Siegemen stands there, watching the Sariant with a small nod as he arrives, listening with his gauntlets locked behind his back to appear uniform and of prowess. Exhaling slowly through his helm as the Sariant makes his farewell, he nods slowly towards the lingering Shields. Raising his right hand he flicks it away, motioning dismissal to the Shields as many of them hold a small grin. Now speaking, his tone low, deep, cruel, but confident and of authority. "Who will the people side with, the criminals.. Or the true heros of Oren and the Creator himself." then wetting his lips, he finishes; beginning to walk away afterwards. Temp 2006 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Hearing of the inaccurate gossip, Temp simply shrugs. "Brainwashin'. It's quite the *****, isn't it? They would attack then prod at us for playing defensive. Seems a bit eh.. stupid, yeah? Well, while they play knight in their fancy uniforms and sit abou' givin' one another man 'ugs, we've enemies o' the empire to 'andle. Besides, who gives two shites abou' wha' the Teutons say? Insignificant, the lot o' them. Heroes, yer' only a 'ero when yer' dead."
LeRenardNoir 413 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Edmond hears the Sariant and smirks quite arrogantly, "Join a group on the brink of destruction, or join a group who would spare you for your loyalty? The choice is an easy one, and the White Rose are better left as allies than your enemies."
Temp 2006 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Clearing his throat and standing before those in Salvus, he stands with various others from the Rose. "Now, a damned Teuton came 'ere whinin' abou' wha' needs to be done, sides to choose, an' so forth. None o' tha' matters. Wha' I would bring to light, is the Hawk Master, Hackmeister, what the 'ell e'er the man goes by. Now, this man, Jonathan Black, gave the Emperor, Godfrey 'imself, creator bless 'is restin' soul, 'is word tha' 'e would turn 'is back upon the Teutonic Order an' swore them off entirely. Now, but a few years after the man's death, 'e would slide right back into place, turnin' 'is back upon the Emperor. I wouldn't wipe me arse with the man's word. Nor tha' o' the Orders. If they would not keep word to the Emperor 'imself, the 'ell would keep them from abandonin' you lot? Nothin'. Plough the Teutons an' plough any pathetic sense o' 'honor,' that lot would 'old." He turns, directing the others out and following behind them. Not caring to hear any responses from those around.
Stevie 1598 Share Posted June 4, 2013 A single Rose rider rides into Salvus, coincidentally right after the Sariant had given his speech. The same citizens that had listened to the Sariant now turn their attention to the Rose. [[all le pic cred goes to le tuetonic ordensmarschall oaul]] The Rose looks around, scanning over the crowd to make sure there are no threats. He nods, not seeing any as he lifts his visor, his stern expression still fixed on the people as he begins to speaks.“Friends, Reynors, Countrymen! Lend me yer ears!”He pauses for a moment, looking over to the gathered Hightowers, bowing his head for a brief moment before speaking again.“I am a Rose, a proud member of the Order of the White Rose and a loyal one. I came to speak the truth to you today, the real truth that is held behind a bedding of lies.”He breathes out slowly, still scanning the crowdI come to bury the Teutons, not to praise them. The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interred with their bones; So let it be with the Teutons. The noble Hochmeister Hath told you the Teutonic Order was ambitious: If it were so, it was a grievous fault, And grievously hath the Teutonic Order answered it. Here, under leave of Salvians and the rest - For the Hochmeister is an honourable man; So are they all, all honourable men - Come I to speak in Salvus today. The Rose is my friend, faithful and just to me: But the Hochmeister says he was ambitious; And the Hochmeister is an honourable man. He hath brought many captives home to Abresi Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill: Did this in the Rose seem ambitious? When that the poor have cried, the Rose hath wept: Ambition should be made of sterner stuff: Yet the Hochmeister says he was ambitious; And the Hochmeister is an honourable man. You all did see that on the Siege of the Dreadfort I thrice presented the Rose a kingly crown, Which the Rose did thrice refuse: was this ambition? Yet the Hochmeister says he was ambitious; And, sure, he is an honourable man. I speak not to disprove what the Sariant spoke, But here I am to speak what I do know. You all did love the Rose once, not without cause: What cause withholds you then, to mourn for him? O judgment! thou art fled to brutish beasts, And men have lost their reason. Bear with me; My heart is in the coffin there with the Rose, And I must pause till it come back to me.He pauses for a moment to calm himself as the crowd talks with themselves, before turning back to the crowd.“Do you really wish to stand behind these men, these Doe Teutonic Ordens? The same Ordens who stand behind the men who do all these horrible thing, The same Ordens who swore to protect you from threats like this?”He moves his horse around a bit, looking over the crowd once more and coming to a halt next to Ascher, nodding down to him. “The Rose has never been here, and never will. We hate Salvus, and will play this game of war on the front stage. We make sure much harm will come to any innocent man or woman. We’ve killed countless people in Kingston, countless Teutonic Ordens attacks and we shall keep doing so as long as the people, you all, stand at our side in support. We protect what really is right and we have one goal . . . Removal of Green, Teutonic Ordens, and the Salvus!" The Rose turns towards the gate and lowers his hat, looking back to the people, his voice now seems a bit muffled but still booming with power.“Who will you side with, the ones who side with these Ordens, or the ones who fight to remove them. The choice is yours.”He turns his head towards the Hightowers once more and bows his head“Hightowers **** their cousins."He shouts something in an not-so-common language as the horse quickly speeds off out of the gates of Salvus and onto Abresi to preach the same thing. Before long he heads back home to Ard Kerrack, where several Roses pose for a picture.
Phog 150 Share Posted June 4, 2013 Heinrich is confused by what he has heard. The Teutons preach that the Blackmonts and Rose are evil men, but he knows this to not be true. In fact, Heinrich believes that the real villains are the Teutons themselves. "The Teutons wish to make it seem as if they are squeaky-clean knights fighting for people, but this is not true. More than once have Teutons marched into Kralta and slaughtered innocent peasants. More than once I have seen Teutons run innocent children through with their blades. There is no greater evil in this world than the Teuton. I can only pray that the good people of Salvus are strong enough to resist Teuton brainwash scheme." Zanderaw 162 Share Posted June 4, 2013 As the Teuton rides through Abresi shouting his message, Zandros looks out the window of the tavern. He nudges his comrade, Ser Jeremiah du Draike. "If I were still a Shield, this would be my problem. Constant propaganda from both sides of a petty war, seeking to gain my allegiance. Ah, the freedom..." Ser Zandros orders another Azgoth ale to celebrate his recent knighting, happy to have the privilege of neutrality.

Z3r05t4r 855 Share Posted June 5, 2013 In Abresi a man in armor with a purple cloak bursts out in laughter after hearing it. He is, aside from two random Dragon Guards and one traveller, the only one who is there to listen to the speech of the Rose man. "Good man, you could have done me a favor and screamed at the people in Kingston that Abresi is cheaper to live in. But good lord, your speech was entertaining, give note to King Chivay." Silus chuckles and turns to head back to his office.
