Meanwhile, Goroth has been writing some notes on a small paper before giving it to Isha to pass around. It reads;

Returning To Malinor

The city of Leumaelin will have to give land within or beneath it's enclave for the Mali'ker Families' Homes.
The military forces of Malinor will have to accept an auxiliary division of specialised Mali'ker Troops.

The Lower Council of Malinor will have to integrate a representative of the Mali'ker community much like in Elysium and Kalos.

"That might all be very well, but I don't trust that Oren will come to Leumaelin's aid if the city is attacked, especially not if they're attacked themselves at the same time. They're much more likely to let the city be destroyed and then take over the land themselves. This 'treaty' is more something that will keep us from pushing them away and keep us weak. I won't trust th-"

*Saleia get's interrupted as she get's passed Goroth's note, she tilts her head as she reads it. Looking up, she turns to Goroth, speaking again.*

"This seems like a reasonable declaration. But I want to have added that the place must be defendable. I don't want something we need to abandon at the first possible attack. If it is from Oren, another nation of Anthos, or these supposed creatures from the north. We need a place that will not fall."

Vierna looks at the note as it is passed to Arzota. A small smile spreads across her face, nodding. She whispers to her family, "I like Goroth's idea..."

When the note is passed to Aravel she reads it with pursed lips and furrowed brow. She turns away from the paper and absently hands it out to the person nearest her, and begins to speak.

"More housing will doubtless have to be built, yes...  though your requirements are seeded in the wrong mindset. We're not proposing to return to the city only to continue segregating ourselves within it. We're proposing unity. You don't have to adapt to the same culture as the Mali'ame, but trying to set yourself above and apart like this is reminiscent of the Mali'aheral. When did we become dark-skinned high elves?"

Stepping lightly through the gathered crowd Aravel moves to stand beside her brother, Victivus, and motions to him with a slight wave of her hand.

"Brothers and sisters within any family will have their own preferences and personalities, but they are still one unit that is capable of living together, working together. If this attitude of separation continues it will only lead to more conflict and strife, and the Mali will dissolve into weak, fragmented groups once again."

*Saleia scowls at Aravel.*

"Comparing us to Mali'Aheral? This isn't about culture, this is about safety. And yes, of course it has to do with feeling we are better than Mali'Ame, as they do nothing to protect themselves and their kin. But laying down at their fate. If moving to Leumaelin means that we will need to protect them as well, it means protecting more people with the same amount of warriors, or maybe one or 2 more. If it comes to a fight, which I see happen, seeing Oren's nature, we can't also protect them."

Khel looks over towards Selia

"That city is the most undefedable pile of wood I've ever seen. No stratagest would ever consider using it as a fort unless forced to. That I'd why Bircalin and I have a site selected for the construction of a fort. That issue was the first thing I mandated from Titania the moment I choose to return"

Goroth sighs, looking to Aravel,

"I mentioned within the enclave of Leumaelin, so we would reside in the same city. Over this, I would like to point out that the homes already built are far too small for growing families and that in any case, Mali'ker do not live in trees, we live in properly built homes of great architecture and integrity.

A fort would certainly be a good idea, a choke point would be a nice place to build it."

Aeyrius was roaming around the distant forests of Malinor in searches of the claimed 'Dire Wolves' he so desperately wanted to ride, when the bird had arced downward, giving him an instinct to react, he swatted at the bird with a grunt, and it flew off, dropping the 'invitation'. Aeyrius read it slowly, occasionally huffing in agitation as he reread a word multiple times to get the meaning through the sentence, then nodded his head as it made sense.

After knowing what his trajectory was, he would realize he's quite far out, and began to trot towards Haelun'or, which he assumed was what the Silver City meant. It would take him much longer to arrive, getting there late into the meeting, but he digs his heels in, raising his chin and emerging into the gathering up straight, clean and prepped up, with a hatchet over his shoulder, and another in his left hip-ring. He listens, trying to catch up on what was discussed, frowning as he sees whom is speaking at the center of the gathering.

"Hmph... A fort? I'd suggest two, we have a rather awkwardly large mountain to utilize, we can get laborers to dig securely within the mountain and install supports in certain areas, tough ones so in the event someone gets inside per say an Orcish raid, we won't have a pile of rubble to tend to. Not boasting, but the Dark Elves appear to be the most 'naturally' capable of fighting, or so I'd hope, thus I suggest Dark Elves be assigned the role of defending Malinor, this will solve the issue of us having no honor, being dispersed and yadda yadda- and it'd be enjoyable. Back to these forts... Have multiple openings along the side of the mountain, with platforms jutting outwards- all of you see the current problem with that, and that would be entrances, correct? Well, the platforms would have spiked ends, so nothing could climb up, another issue would be them going around and dropping down from above, that is why we have the entire mountain full of these openings, with one Elf manning each, if we manage to be the impulsive, violent Malinor that I've come to believe, maybe two. It seems like a hassle, but it will be effective, because while we do not have numbers, we have the skill, the agility, the strength, the superiority, and the minds, human scum do not compare to us."

Aeyrius glances to the side, gritting his teeth at the thought of humans, before shaking it off, nodding towards the crowd.

"Alright, that's all for me."

Vhaer looks around the group with displeasure adorning his face, not at all appearing pleased with the words being thrown between Mali'ker

"Fortress'... Mountain strongholds... Are we Mali or are we Dwarves? Or maybe Orcs from the southern most deserts... Or maybe we've just gone a tad insane in our absence from reality whilst tossing ideas around this ruin like they were mere fireflies."

"I have seen DarkHaven with my own eyes... It is a beautiful place, in which we could live in peace... Raising livestock, growing crops, raising families for generations to come. In peace... Though, from listening to many of you the word 'peace' does not seem to ring much interest within your minds. Infact, i'd go so far as to say that many of you are preparing yourselves for war with the ideas of fortress' and fortifications which would otherwise ruin our beautiful landscape."

"Ousanna... You are renowned for your combat skill.. Especially you, Khel. Tell me... Do you want children of the Mali'ker for generations to come to be fighting.. Or would you rather they be living in peace with their families.

By all means.. Stockpile armaments and armour to your hearts content in your own little castaway rooms and I will happily fight beside you should anyone threaten our home... But do not throw a fortress of war into a paradise.

Especially a paradise which has the potential to bring our race back together after so many years torn apart.."

Vhaer stands back from the main group, once more allowing them to natter between themselves.

"You're a fool!" Illsy cries out in an emotional voice. "Do you think we can just claim peace? Do you think the ever growing blob of oren will stop growing just because we moved far enough away? It isn't going to happen llir, it isn't. Mali don't have the bloodlust of other races but we are fools to not assert ourselves, we need to gather up, all of us, in malinor. Build forts. Build new homes. Do whatever you need to, but we MUST stand together with Leumaelin"

*Saleia nods to Khel.*

"Marayla, that is what we need."

*She then turns to Vhaer as he speaks, a frown appears on her face.*

"Currently we have peace, but peace is a fragile thing. In times of peace, we should prepare for times of war, that we may not be crushed when it comes. Of course peace is something to relish, but that doesn't mean that we should ignore that war is a very likely occurance. I don't want to be crushed the first time we are attacked."

"A fools peace... I guess I can be called an old fool then for dreaming such whimsical fantasies. However.. Do you believe it in best interest to build a giant fortress right next to the existing buildings within DarkHaven? And even this one here claims to want two of the monstrous things to scar the land."

"It seems to me aswell, that you believe a fortress would do anything against the armies of Oren... Or the Orcs... Might I remind you that Oren's armies are atleast a hundred thousand men strong when combined. What are we? We are a footnote to the humans... We'd barely scratch their ranks before they massacred everyone within the town."

"What would it be worth? Hmm... And you!

Vhaer looks to Illsy directly now, a slightly displeasure adorning his face

"What would cowering in that wooden city achieve? It's inhabitants cower in the trees or run for the hills when Oren comes marching... It's army barely rivals that of the Kharajyr, yet you would think siding with them would bring us anything but bad luck."

"The Mali'ame push the humans to the edge all of the time... Almost beckoning war as-if it were a game to them. Then once they are beaten into the ground they simply continue to push buttons and twist knobs until they brings the same fate again. Personally, I do not want to reside within a place that could be stamped upon if Lenfarthing marched against it."
