I've been on this server since 2011. I've seen so many players come and go, some making a louder exit than others. I myself have quietly left at least twice now, that I can recall, only to return a month of two later. I probably still have a few more departures and returns left in me. It is what it is.

 

The server carries on and players are expendable. It's a role-playing server. We're here to have a good time and unwind. Anyone that's no longer getting anything out of the deal is free to carry on and we wish them well.

 

Don't let the door hit y'all on the way out, because I just painted it.

I believe that it is explained by a separate post, I will find it later. They all boarded the emperors flagship and sailed away, leaving the gates to the north open so the evil inside can "purge the land" for their return

I'd just like to say thank you to the staff members that were online when all of this happened, I could not have done it alone and Im glad that when push comes to shove we can work together really well. Viper & Rittsy were amazing, they both stepped up and really took control. 

 

 

I'd also like to thank the players that kept their cool and even tried to help do damage control. Its moments like that that really reenforce why I love this player base.

Danny is right, it's only a handful of people that left. I am certain we have lost equal amounts of people in past events, but this team the people lost were more vocal players.

 

Perhaps from now on we can do as danny said, stop seeing ourselves as "elves" , "dwarves" or "humans" and just as people who  enjoy derping around on the same server. I feel that the natural "cliqusation" (what I call it) that all servers has played a role in this exodus

long running factions group keeping my on another server, though alot of them (15 in total) are warming up to idea of moving to this server. anyway this is unrelated to the topic.
