Demands For Peace

((I like how they do this after everyone leaves

((I understand your anger though please take a step back and evaluate the situation. The Dwarves have been waiting for the attack upon Storms Crossing for over two weeks. It's understandable that you think that's the primal factor, but it's rather we're annoyed that the war has been forgotten and people are assuming we're at peace. Without any roleplay. If you have further accusations or rather queries in regards to the situation, feel free to pm me. I'll be happy to reply or rather counter any said claims. ))

*Sends a new letter back to the Grand King of Urguan*

"King Thorin, if you offer white peace you can save many more lives, you must remember the wounded tiger is at his most dangerous, your demands are something I cannot accept and conciously remain alive with my honour intact. We have no undead blood as you have claimed. I would look to your halls and look to your children, you don't honestly want to send them to their doom. Humans are short lived but are many, if you continue this war you will lose your army and never raise another it will be your end."

"Regards Shas'O Kais Ishikawa"

*Another letter is sent*

Regent of Oren,

Mayhaps you do not understand... I am the punishments of the Gods.... If you had not comitted great sins, the Gods would not have sent a punishment like me upon thee. White peace is non-non-negotiable and the tigers neck will be snapped.

Orens crimes have gone un-heeded for too long, its crimes against my people, and the peoples of every other race on this plain un-justified... And the price of justice will be payed in blood.

Signed,

Grand King Thorin Grandaxe

Vuln hears about this letter through his many connections in high places, he sighs as he receives the news from his friend Bod,

"The Dwarves cannot just let us be can they? Alright, I say we give them a war. Smash their Storms Crossing, and send them scurrying back to their holes like the vermin they are."

Full of rage, Vuln stalks off towards the Iron Mines, hoping to gather enough iron to help the weakened Oren from collapsing.

OOC:

I do find it rather funny that it has been a year since any battle, and six months since a skirmish. Most nations IRL would declare peace, or at least a cease fire as there is no more need or reason for blood shed. The WR are gone, as is Thomas. And again, NO ONE HAS FOUGHT FOR A YEAR! That's a rather long time to go without a battle. And instead of peace, you are going to wait another year before launching an attack. That makes little sense to me. From an RP stand point that is.

((There was no war claim because of fourth of July and we knew some people wouldn't be able to come.))

(I see Oren has three options

1- set their war claim and continue the war

2- don't, and then await the dwarf war claim

3-accept or negotiate peace

*Doctor Fledrick Goldspeck sits at the desk in his home as he begins to make some salves. He smiles

as he pulls some magma cream from his pouch. He then says.

"So.... Looks lioke t'ese dwarves want peace! W'at 'appen to t'em bein' so big an' bad!?"

*He then tosses the letter of the news into the waste basket as he finishes his last salve.*

Barvek hobbles into the throne room of Kal'Azgoth.

"News frum t'e north, Grand King. Castle Greywynn is a ruin. We may wish t'e revoise t'e demands in loight of this."

Dreek runs his hands over a map of Anthos, planing out battle strategies for each step in conquering Oren. Smiling, he hopes the hard headed Oreners continue to deny the king's claims. Chuckling  he continues to plot Oren's downfall.

Wulfric, smirks at the news of the white rose disbandment, goes to the Halls of Remembrancers, gets out his maps and starts mapping out strategies and writing the demand of peace in the history scroll. He dips the ink back into the ink pot and shouts to Zahrer next door

"Hoo is readeh tah fiogh' t'ese umros!?"

I just have to point out to all of the humans saying that the war is null because of the White Rose being disbanded, what sense does this make? When Meanking made the demands at the declaration of the war, they were not met. This led to a full-blown war, battles have already been fought and people lost on both sides. So what sense does it make for the dwarves to suddenly say, "Oop! They've met our terms from nearly two years ago, best let them off while we hold the better cards"? Those were not OOC terms, they were in character, as is the decision to continue the war. Any measure of OOC complaining about this is simply fruitless.

((However it does make sense. The humans are well within their rights to decline any further attacks by the Dwarves should they so wish as the terms of their original permission for the war were met. If the terms of the war have changed then make a new warclaim - one detailing this very Oren-esque attempt to wipe out an entire nation because you had a petty disagreement.))

King Garth Hightower hears of the news and chuckles. Salvus would be rubble before it went to the rebellious and unchivalrous Adunians.

((I hear OOC QQing. The fact of the matter is if the Dwarves wish to continue the war for any reason WHAT-SO-EVER, as long as the reason exists RPly then they may, and it should be dealt with in roleplay.))

Art crosses his arms as he frowns, reading the terms and their denial.

"Let the storm begin."

* Orin over hears the official decree being read by the dwarven prison guards. He chuckles quietly to himself

" The dwarves accuse Oren of such horrible crimes that the disbandment of the empire is the only exceptable punishment. I can't imagine what would happen to the dwarves if equal punishment came their way. As for honor, I have never met an orc with as little honor as a dwarf. To think that the dwarves have the nerve to claim they are a divine punishment. I pray that when Thorin Grandaxe loses his head to a human sword that he falls on his knees before the his god and begs forgiveness, that his god will only laugh. If only I was born an elf. I want no association with the hypocritical fools of my lineage. Praise be to Oren, less than perfect, but alot better than the dwarves"

*Orin spits out the last words with disgust
