The Kings Speech

William steps fourth on top a raised platform, citizens of Abresi surrounding the platform gather looking up at their King, his armour still unpolished since his journey, he looks down to the people of Abresi and begins to speak

"My people, the sons and daughters of Horen, in my absence I have failed you, I failed you all in my attempt to gain glory in battle I have forgotten my people, well I am here to reconcile my mistakes. My work as King is to ensure an era of peace can be brought about, I wish only peace. You might say bend the knee to Flay if it were that simple I would. The House of Flay is built upon the blood of the innocent a Kingdom under their rule would be a Kingdom built upon blood and that of the skins of anyone who doesn't give them exactly what they want, or the skin of those who do. The Flays they kill for pleasure that is their way but when there is evil to be fought they cower!"

William begins pacing around the podium continuing to look at his people not breaking his gaze

"There is an evil like no other we as a generation of Oreners have ever faced! This is the time for heroes and Knights to rise up and head North and Kings along with them to fight this evil! You know what the House of Flay say to that? They say nay! We are not to fight evil but those who would fight them! They are either the spawn of Iblee's himself or under a curse of the evil that dwells in the North! Why else would they fight us when there is a much larger threat at hand to face?! People of Oren and the true sons and daughters of Horen! Rise up and fight with me! Rise up so we may vanquish this threat from the North! Divided we are nothing! Together we will send this evil force back through the ploughing gates of the wall! If any of these Galaharians are watching, go to your King tell him to point his armies North to Hansetti or expect to be seen as the same as the evil that dwells beyond the wall!"

William then takes a few steps back, two Knights marked with a Black Dragon on their chest plates step infront of him carrying kite shields incase an assassins attempts to take William with a crossbow

~ The Dragons March ~

Daniel grunts as he steps into the armoury of the Holy Order keep, looking about as the many footmen and knights ran to and through, equipping their armour and polishing their blades. The atmosphere in the room was one of dread as the knights were told to prepare to march out. The order was coming, they all knew it as they finished up the final straps of their armour. Orders began to be bark out as arming swords were slipped into their sheaths, crossbows slung over their shoulders as the final order was barked out by the drill sergeant.

“Dragons, on me!”   With that the thunder of boots rang about the stone hallways as they fell into line, each one equipped and ready for the war to come, soon the armoury fell silent as the distant rhythmic thunder of boots marching dimmed. The Holy Order soldiers leaving the stone hallways and rallying outside within the courtyard. Rows upon rows of footmen stood at ease, shields and swords in hand awaiting the speech. A hollowed wind sounds among the many alleys of the city, mixed within the drop of rain fall as the heavens cried. Darkness loomed over the city of Abresi, only a few torches within their braziers in the courtyard clung to their last embers. Slowly the winds picked up, whipping at the many banners of the order, the howling winds growing more intense as rain plastered the shields and armour of the many lined in rank, however none moved nor flinched. They stood awaiting the speech that was to come, the foul news to explain the Grand Knights even fouler moods.

Daniel slowly rose from the bench, stepping down the corridors of the empty armoury, heading towards his personal arming chamber, his stride increasing as his heels clacked lightly against the stone floor. Closing the gap between the door and his chambers, quickly slipping into the private room and letting out a heavy sigh as he rested in his private arming chambers, darkness engulfing him as he stood in the middle of the dimly-lit room, a few candles only resting by his suit of armour upon the mannequin and his sword rack. He turned, nodding to the squire and so the preparation began, he held his arms out as the squires began their work, attaching his armour piece by piece before finally he was left with only his helmet. Taking the helmet he slowly placed it on, grasping the hilt of his blade and drawing it from the rack. Sliding the blade into his sheath he grunts as the squires finishing wrapping the fur cloak over his shoulder, turning himself to the doorway and slowly stepping out as he made his way down the stone hallways. His several squires following shortly behind in their newly adorned armour.

He nodded towards the three squires, sending them off and out into the courtyard as he made his own way to the spiral stairs outside the men stood still as ever, the harsh weather still bearing down upon them as they stood at attention. Slowly make his way up the staircase, entering yet another one of the endless corridors of the Lion keep he branched out left till he made his way to a balcony. Met only with a wall of wind as he stepped out into the harsh winds, a wash of rain quickly meeting his armour as he cloak flew free to the wind. Daniel cursed silently to himself, nodding to the two Lts. by his side, he slowly stepped out to the edge of the balcony, looking out upon the many ranks of men.

“Knights... Footman...! Men of the Red Dragon I gather ye’ hear to day to hear my plea for your blades, we have been called for war! Not to battle Flays, nor the dwarves. No, we have been called for a bigger threat, the threat in the north! We have been asked to ride and march to the wall by Hanseti and lend our blades, now I ask for of you today. Will you fight, Dragons!? Will you fight and serve for that you have oathed to protect!? Will you aid us in a new world? Our king has called for us, and so we shall march. I have faced those things lying behind the wall and I shall not lie to you, they struck fear even into my own heart. But those beasts will come, they will fight, they will kill your friends, your family, your loved ones... Your comrades in arms will fall if you run, if you run you doom this world. So will you answer, men of Oren!? Will you fight with me to abolish this threat!?”

Daniel yells out to the many men, the only sounds combatting with him were the flapping of banners as they rode the wind, and the harsh wind itself howling behind him. But his voice still rose out to the many of men before him. Raising a gauntlet in defiance he called out once more.

“Come my brothers, lend me your swords and your strength, let us show our true power to the nations not in war against them but fighting beside them! We will draw the blood and seek revenge on what those damned things did to our many patrols into the north. We shall end the suffering Malinor and the bordering nations feel against them. We shall fight as one and end this in the name of the King!”

Daniel slammed the silver gauntlet against his chest, the sigil of the Lion plastered proudly upon it. “FOR KING WILLIAM, FOR THE TRUE KING!” He yelled, out to the masses. Then in unity a slam of plate against plate was met as they returned the salute before yelling out among the masses. “For King WIlliam! For the true king!” They cried out. With that Daniel nodded, a grin plastered on his once angered face as he turns from the balcony and descends the spiral staircase. Walking out towards the many ranks of men as they fell silent once again, quickly he slipped a foot into his horses stirrup and climbed upon his horse, taking the reign tightly. “About turn! Red Dragons march!” He commanded, riding off as the many men followed after him, marching through the streets of Abresi to meet King Williams call.

"Unjust blood has already been spilled under the name of both House Horen and Flay. Still they sit upon their thrones, and they will both fall before the trembling might of the true heirs, and true descendants of Horen; the people", Darius mumbles to his captain John, as he hears of the words spoken by the new King, while both walk through the new fortification construction site, only a few inches away from the new human kingdoms.
