SirSnowMan 318 Share Posted July 20, 2013 *Three Lords of various rankings and titles of Oren privately meet together in the private chambers of Gladius Flay, Lord of the Dreadfort. The topic in discussion is whether or not they should stay under the incompetent leader of Oren, William III, or leave, early in the meeting, Marcellus offers that they offer vassalage to the Dwarves. This was quickly brushed off by the King of Savoie, but the Duke of Corpathia instead brought up the fact that Oren was weak; and that outside protection and support would be a great help. The three Lords together agreed upon the fact, but the three wanted to preserve their Human heritage. Each lord then began writing up their offer to the Grand-High King Thorin Grandaxe of the Dwarves.* The Duke of Corpathia, Charles Greymane quickly wrote his own offer of vassalage to the Dwarves, the contents of the offer included: All land holdings and titles in Corpathia are voided under the new vassalage under Grand King Thorin. Any land owners are to hereby proclaim their loyalty and swear fealty to the High King or lose their titles and lands; heading back to Oren for a new home. All the bannermen of the various Houses in Corpathia are to consider themselves relieved of their duties and to either head back to Oren with their House Lords, or to swear fealty to the Grand King Thorin. His Grace, Duke Charles Greymane and all family members are to swear fealty to Grand King Thorin, or face banishment from the family and to be sent back to Oren as orphans. His Grace, Duke Charles Greymane offers three-fourths of his House Treasury contents to Grand King Thorin in respect for his protection. The contents of the House Treasury handed to the Grand King Thorin would be presented in the amount of thirty iron blocks and ten gold blocks to be handed over in the exchange of vassalage. House Greymane’s private vessel; the ‘Snap Dragon’ is hereby offered as a ship to the Dwarves to be used for whatever purpose the Grand King Thorin wishes. The Duchy of Corpathia shall hereby be considered a Jarldom of Urguan and go under the name of the Jarldom of Corpathia and shall stay vassals under the Dwarven Empire even after the Grandaxe bloodline has left the Throne. The King of Savoie, Goddard I, wrote his offer to the Grand King and the Empire of the Dwarves All landed titles under Savoie are to swear fealty to the Grand King Thorin Grandaxe All able bodied men are to provide military support to the Grand King when required All Lords in the Kingdom of Savoie are to supply the Grand King when required The Duchy of Raev and Corpathia are to stay under the influence of the King of Savoie, but hold fealty to Grand King Thorin Grandaxe The Kingdom of Savoie is to keep its autonomy, but hold fealty and loyalty to the Grand King Thorin Grandaxe and his Grand Kingdom. The Grand King is to take the title, “Protector of the Human Race” The Duke of Raev, Lord Carrion will remain a vassal of the King Goddard I The King of Galahar, son of Gladius Flay, Marcellus Blackmont House Flay will now go back to the name House Blackmont, and it’s bannermen reformed as The Crimson Legion, under House Blackmont. All landed titles under The Petty Kingdom of Galahar are to swear fealty to the Grand King Thorin Grandaxe. House Blackmont and it’s military will provide support to the Grand King when called upon. House Blackmont and the Crimson Legion will keep their autonomy while serving the Grand King. All lords of The Petty Kingdom Galahar will swear fealty to the Grand King, but will keep their autonomy while serving the Grand King.

Goddard smiles, nodding to Duke Charles Greymane, remembering that he never had his duchy revoked, and was in fact given it. It had not mattered, if they tried to take it back it would be hostile action towards the Dwarves.
Aetosion 2062 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Edward Winter II looks down from the mountains of Northal, looking at the empty lands of Savoie to the South. ((I don't think that Charles Greymane has any hold over Corpathia whatsoever, nor has he for quite some time. He also has no vassals, as they all were relieved of their oaths a week or so ago when he turned to the side of the Flays. Unlanded and vassal-less and offering what? As for Savoie, it's now a Kingdom? To my knowledge, its residents are in the single digits, unless the duchies of Raev and Corpathia are included into this, which would greatly confuse me as they're of Oren, not Savoie. Did both of these dukes (Siegmund Carrion and Throdo Therving) break their oaths to Horen to follow Savoie? Would Urguan recognize such a small kingdom? What lands does Galahar assume claim to? Valence and Valtheim?))
Will (TauFirewarrior) 2466 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Remember when the vassals of Corpathia diposed Charles when he attempted to defect to the Kingdom of Galahar, holding no strongholds in Corpathia himself it was taken by the nobles and remains in the Kingdom of Oren, it was given to Throdo Therving after these events

Roderick Greymane / Vegas 219 Share Posted July 20, 2013 His Grace, Duke Charles Greymane sits upon his throne in Ager, sipping wine as he nods to his Flay bodyguards, humming softly to himself as he knows that Corpathia is still his. ((Nice try guys, but Corpathia is still mine as it was never officially taken, nor was a WC posted to take the power from me, if my vassals were to try and usurp me from the title, they would have had to fight the Flays and now the Dwarves it seems.))
Will (TauFirewarrior) 2466 Share Posted July 20, 2013 (( Charles your vassals disposed of you, without a stronghold or holding any land in Corpthia they could do it without a warclaim in essence it was just a title its not yours and unless the actual land holders of Corpathia agree to this it doesn't mean anything. ))
