The Three Farthing's Songbook

 Share

Recommended Posts

A big book sits in the Lumpy Pumpkin, a songbook meant to liven up the tavern and allow even those with the worst memory to sing a song!

We live in the Lenfarthing where there's ale to go around,

We live in the Lenfarthing where the peaceful ri-i-ivers sound,

As you walk through the valley, they trickle on their way,

and you can't but help feel yourself having a better day, HEY!

The other pages are empty... A note sitting on the book suggests that you write down your own songs!

(Feel free to add your rhymes and shenanigans to the Songbook, so we can have some merry songs to sing at parties! Cheers!)

Fredegar thinks for a moment before writing his song

The travel hard and heavy

the nights long dreary

just waiting to have a nice old-

ale, ale ,ale ,ale ale, ale, ale!

The night go on!

The sadness is gone!

The songs are sung!

And the bells are rung!

just after a nice old-

ale, ale ale ale, ale, ale, ale!

The men laugh!

The men sing!

They make toasts,

They make roasts,

They may talk about the lovely cooassst......

just after a nice old-

ale, ale ale ale ale, aaaalllllllllleeeee!

Wooo!

Ale

Inside the songbook, Felix scribbles down a song he wrote for a dear friend.

I've heard the tale of wheat and ale

I'm heading off to the Dales

To Lenfarthing

Oh what joy does it bring!

Flaxen fields, and flaxen hair

Oh do all the ladies look so fair

In Lenfarthing

Where merry haflings sing!

Friends carousing around the hearth

Laughing, and drinking with such mirth

In Lenfarthing

Where full tankards cling!

Simples days spent in the sun

in the fields where little folk run

To Lenfarthing!

Where true happiness is a thing!

After a wonderful night of ale drinking and merriment, Posco notices the book and begins to jot down his favorite drinking song.

A Drunkard's Song

Oh! 'Lo! To the bottle I go!

To down me drink!

And drown me woe!

Oh! 'Lo! The tankards clink!

I down my drink!

And there I goooooooooo!

Oh! 'Lo! I ferget this song

So now I be far too drunk!

La la la li la la la di da da di da do!

Li lalalala la li da di dai dai do!

(At which point ye can sing just about anything ye would like)
