*~ Clan Recruitment System ~*

Note: This post is mainly for new Orcs that are looking for a clan, it explains how to find a clan and how to contact them. This system is going to be optional, every Clan will be offered a spot in San'Orka for them to put up a recruitment sign or station and get new recruits. Without further delay to the system...

Finding Your Clan: To find your Clan using this system you must first travel to San'orka, which I gave directions to in my other GUIDE. When you first enter the city you might notice the lack a of buildings, the reason for this is the Trog is the new Orcish Capital, the directions to the Trog were also stated in my other Guide.

Now you may notice various signs/buildings. Most of these buildings and signs are made for the sole purpose to recruit members. If you are to enter the building there may be information about the clan (roster, small history, etc...), the signs usually state who to message if you'd like to join.

Now please note that these signs and buildings are still in-character structures and are legit RP, no part of this system involves OOCly asking others to join a clan, this must /ALL/ be done ICly (there are exceptions).

Claiming Your Clan: Now, when you're ready to be recruited into a Guild you must follow these directions, or whatever directions the clan prompts you to do.

(Example:) "Now, I would like to join the Ghaktusk clan. I've read their sign and it tells me to send Zog'Ghaktusk a sand rat," OOCly this would mean to send [user name] an aviary bird, a Guide on how to do this could be found HERE credit to Freya, a wonderful Global Moderator.

"Now, I want to send Zog a sand rat, where would I go?" To send a Wargoth (leader) a letter you must go to the sand rat pit where you would find a chest full of books & quills. You can use this book to write you letter to the wargoth, make sure it's detailed and in Orcish (Most Orcs can't write in English).

"Now I have the book, great!" Now since you have acquired the book you now follow what Freya's Guide told you to. Write your letter, and send it off to the Wargoth. Wargoth's MUST check their mailboxes in a timely manor, we don't want new Orcs waiting for the grass to grow.

Afterwards: Later after a Wargoth has received your message he has the choice to Accept you into the Clan, or Deny you. if a Wargoth doesn't respond the smartest thing to do would be to ask one of the active Clan members, they would tell you if the Wargoth is on vacation or simply not going to be on in time. Who knows, maybe the member may tell the Wargoth to get online and check his mailbox, or prompt you to send him another message.

Good Luck: I wish you good luck and a farewell, I can't wait to see you among our Orcish brothers.

  Happy Role-Playing!

The orcs system of In game Clan recruitment is vastly superior to the Dwarves forum approach. You can really hit two birds with one stone by giving new Uruks the chance to see the badlands as well as see the cultural styles of each clan before deciding which to join.

Keep up the good work Tom/Freya!

[[This needs to be moved to the Orcish Clan sub-forum, please delete this post once that's done!]]

I really wasn't sure if this was the best place to ask this, but I didn't know where else to ask. Is there a post for information on the Ugluk clan?

((I think a new one of these needs to be made for 4.0

((I'll think about making another one. This isn't much needed anymore. The whole point of this was to give the 3.0 Orcish city a use, right now the recruitment system is done in the forums/in-game.))
