People need to realize that a lot of people who wanted PVP default still prefer RP fighting. It's just that if you are facing somebody who is powergaming, you can then PVP them, which discourages powergaming and encourages better roleplay fights.

 

Also, in the case of say, a stealth attack, well, you gotta RP before PVP, so you'd likely kill them before PVP would even be applicable.

It will remain like that until Nexus arrives and Magic Users have equal ability in PVP - however, until then, you must ensure that you roleplay fight if in combat with a magic user (unless there are more than 4 players involved -- then default to PVP).

 

I don't quite understand this 4+ rule. Functionally that means if a mage walks around with 3 other mages anyone with a stone sword can shank them all. Indeed... If a regular person walks around with 2 friends up to the mage's college, the same result occurs.

 

Is this, therefore, a hard and fast rule? Or is it one where the scenario dictates if it is to occur.

I'm fine with this so long as when I do fight I am allowed to place my MC mechanic armour on as I don't wear it all the time due to me RP'ing my armour and liking to show off my skin.

Although I do personally prefer RP fighting, for a number of reasons, I completely agree with the staff on this decision. PvP default is what's best for the server.

 

 

Unfortunately, this now makes wanting to RP a bannable offence.

I have a legitimate question here, are Dreadknights magic users? 

 

We have no real advantage in PvP, when in RP, we are massive near unstoppable forces of steel, not to mention our Aura of Fear, which is a form of illusion magic.

To better my point. This is a load of horseshit for the very reason it's an Rp Server and henceforth battles should revolve around Rp.

Why you ask? Let me tell you.

 

1. Rp Combat, while long influences a typist to learn words, and delve deeper into the meaning of said words as well as learning of physics and various other scientifically accurate methods to use their character.

2. There are those of us who have literally sacrificed half of our character's being to make him stronger in combat, with PVP default it's all down to who can swing the sword faster. 

3. THIS IS AN RP SERVER NOT A PVP FACTION SERVER Change the god damned title if you're changing your god damned server.

 

And no, it does not encourage non-powergaming. The only way to have a person stop powergaming is to inform them on the rules and regulations of Rp. I don't agree with what you people are doing, and you're running this server into the ground. 

 

Keep an Rp server Rp. 

Keep a Pvp server Pvp.

 

That's the rules. Learn them or get out of the chair and let someone who actually understands the methods of Rp in.
