First Tithe Of The Kingdom Of Herendul

Men bearing the sigil of House Winter are seen running across the Kingdom of Herendul, from Nordstock to Wallsport. They stop at the homes of the nobles and landowners of each feudal landholdings, delivering a letter to the appropriate Lord.

 

The letter reads:

 

” Issued and confirmed by his majesty, the stalwart King Edward II of the royal House Winter, protector of the north, father of the northern people, sovereign of the Kingdom of Herendul.

 

After assessing the current state of the economy of the Kingdom of Herendul and its treasury, the Stalwart King Edward II has seen fit to impose upon its vassals the first tithe of the Kingdom of Herendul.

 

Following is the concurrent amounts to be paid fully by each vassal accordingly


 

To the County of Eastlope and its vassals, four-hundred minas

 

To the Barony of Verglass, two-hundred minas

 

To the Barony of Nordstock, two,hundred minas

 

To the Barony of Frostlake, two-hundred minas

 

To the Barony of Wallsport, two-hundred minas


 

All vassals are expected to pay their according tithe fully and without exemption. The shown amount is advised to be paid directly to the Lord Treasurer Alester Herenden with proof of such payment.

If a vassal wishes to pay in the value of iron, each ingot of iron will compensate for twenty-five minas of their respective tithe.

 

The Lord Treasurer is open to questioning and  discussion among the feudal landholders, listed above, concerning their above-listed tithe itself.

 

Should the Lord Treasurer have missed a vassal or made a mistake, the tithe will be open to any and all changes permissible by King Edward II or the Lord Treasurer. Vassals not included will pay the according amount as is their feudal title. The title of Duke paying eight-hundred minas, Count paying four-hundred minas, and Baron paying two-hundred minas.”
