After the death of Thorik Grandaxe, and the removal of Bael Tunnelsmasher, the positions of Grand Merchant and Yemekars Pick are now open. To deal with these vacancies, we have decided to open up an election. Experience: I served as a Lord, Grand Marshal, and Clan Father all at the same time. I know how to handle many things at once and am good at supervising work and Dwarves.

Reason(s): I wish to increase the material wealth of the kingdom get our workforce back up and running. Currently, our workforce doesn't exist and is terribly unorganized. With the new vein of ore, a strong workforce is essential to the kingdom's supply of resources. Our logging operations near the site of Kastoria, have come to a complete halt. Our farming work, aside from Barbek, has come to a stand still. I want to change this. With myself leading these efforts, materials will flow into the Kingdom of Vault, statues and buildings will rise, and the Grand Kingdom will prevail.

Reason(s): We haven't had an active Grand Merchant in years now. Any dwarves looking for a home, or to own a shop, have been forced to wait. Some, more like most, of which gave up hope of a home in the capitol, and looked elsewhere. I think I would be a good Grand Merchant, and will work for the better of the kingdom.

Reason(s): You kicked me out for no reason; now that I am suitably calmed down, I will explain and rebuke any and all claim to supposed 'crimes' that I have committed. Additionally I believe the dwarven government has far too much bureaucracy so efficiency is slowed down, I believe merging these too positions will speed things up considerably.

Experience: Owner and operator of Lionsgate Brewing for over 10 years, all around merchant, and past position as Grand Merchant. I have participated in many sales and buying of rare items with my privately earned wealth and understand the value and important of artifacts. Therefore, I will work with the Head Remembrance in gathering items of importance. In addition to this, I pledge to build our capital into an active hub of commerce and reform the Merchant's Guild so it stands as it once did. 

 

Reason(s):  I have the experience and dedication. My previous leaving was due to the death of my adopted son at the hands of the Flay and I shall not be doing such a thing again.  I look forward to serving the kingdom dutifully once more.  I ran recently, but was denied by Lord Farren on accounts of removal for past corruption and embezzlement. Not only was this suggestion a crime of false accusal stated directly in the articles, but there were several clearly placed bulletins about my retirement and Thorin's acceptance. In addition to this, no accusation was brought to my attention. Should I be elected once more, I will vehemently attack any unjust accusations like the one's laid upon me.

Experience: During Aegis, I was the Grand Merchant for two different kings I believe. Though the position had different roles than what it does now, it is basically the same job outline. I had to build and organize market stalls, houses and keep up with them, seeing if they pay their taxes etc. I also am taking several economic based classes in school as well.

 

 

Reason(s): Firstly, I am very good at multitasking, and this job having multiple responsibilities that are needed to be completed in a proficient, and effective order mean that a lot of duties may cross into others. Secondly, I have held the position before back in Aegis, I preformed it to the satisfaction of the king at the time, and I would hope that I am given the chance to do it again. I know a lot about how to create, hold and manage currency well, I was in the top 5 for minas in the server for a long time back in Aegis. I as well have proficient knowledge of economics, having a decent amount of people in my family been in the trade, I have learned certain first hand things about it, more specifically banking which falls into the category of "Grand Merchant" quite well.
