Unregioning Anthos

Note: Individual town/building regions have NOT been touched. Only regions that affected LARGE... tracts of land.

After almost five months of bi-weekly discussions and debates on the matter, we've finally reached a conclusion: Anthos will be heavily unregioned. We've held off for quite a long time, even though a majority have been in favor of unregioning, simply because it would have been far too difficult. So here's your chance. Prove to us that this was NOT a bad decision! All standard rules apply, but be sure to read everything below before running off to build that inn or shop!

(tl;dr: follow the rules, don't destroy too much of the beauty.)

Guidelines:

  • All villain rules still apply. You cannot steal any large block (anvils, cauldrons, etc) without owner consent. Failure to follow the villain rules will result in a punishment/revoke/ban.
  • Griefing to bypass LWC (locked doors/gates) will result in a punishment/ban.
  • Landscarring will result in a punshment/ban.
  • Leaving ANYTHING floating will result in a punishment/ban. If you're going to commit to tearing down a tree, do so FULLY! NO HALF-ASSING IT. WHOLE ASS IT.
  • Because we're so cramped on space, buildings deemed inactive will be returned to nature/removed. We'll take all forms of activity into account when making our checks so don't feel as if you need to remodel your home once a week or anything like that.
  • Remember to work around the land's natural beauty. Don't level a forest to build a town! Build in-between! Or even in the trees!
  • If we feel you have destroyed too much of an area's natural beauty, we may rollback your work.
  • No thick walls or giant gates. We're cramped for space, don't take more than you need.
  • For now, we are simply setting certain regions to 'build allow'. If we deem an area is being abused, we will simply re-protect that area. This is your one chance! Don't screw it up!

Villages/Forts:

  • When building forts, give the nation leader a two day (48 hours!) warning. A fort would not pop up on enemy land overnight!
  • Villages will not be regioned unless you prove that you have an active and large enough community to warrant a region.

Land unregioned so far:

  • Much of the Dwarven land: Not many active players, and most of the land has been untouched since launch..
  • Much of the 'spawn' area: Players will be more inclined to walk the roads if there are things to see.
  • Most of the Orc (desert/jungle) lands.
  • Various pockets of land across the world.

Go! Have fun! Revive road roleplay and don't forget! We trust that you won't abuse this. Don't make us regret this!

We're all very excited to give this a shot. We won't be on Anthos forever, so let's make the best of our remaining time here!

Uhm, not exactly sure I like the idea of unregioning. We're trying to clean up land scarring and inactive towns in human lands.

And useless keeps.

We'll have to work something out with human lands since you guys have about 1,000,000 regions. For now, just keep doing what you're doing.

Just sally out and burn the non-documented villages.

I am unsure whether this is a good or bad idea.  All I can say is please refrain from using negative comments, or be faced with a forum ban.

I hope your joking.. Ever's kinda the one pushing hard for all the things we wanted.

Ever is fighting for it, not Greene. No offense to him, but he had little to do with convincing Danny to accept this idea.
