Demands Of House Flay

Han sits in the throneroom of the Dreadfort with Tiberius at his side. A grim look plastered across Han's face as two northern heads, put on spikes, drip blood onto the floor in front of him

"Send them to Herendul... Inform the Northern King of our demands."

Tiberius nods to Han, shouting orders to the bannermen lined up in the fort to dress warmly, for they would soon ride for the cold northern castle

"Dress warmly, men. We ride for Herendul at nightfall!"

The tune of House Flay whistles through the northern mountains

Cold rain pelts the grim faces of House Flay's bannermen as they approach Herendul. Fixed in the hands of Tiberius Flay III, two northern heads ride on spikes, ready to be secured into the ground before the castle. Upon closer inspection, the two severed heads appear to be Lord Jonathan Othaman and Herendul's worthy Kommandant, Prince David Winter

Tiberius calls out to the men of Herendul, proceeding with the demands

"People of Herendul! Let this be a warning to your leaders. Lord Jonathan Othaman and Prince David Winter disrespected the will of Saint Augustus and the men of House Flay. They are the first of many lives to be taken, though they can be the last. Surrender this fort and its contents to House Flay. Effective immediately, you have 24 hours to comply with these demands. In the event of your refusal, Herendul will face destruction, and its lands sacked without mercy."

Tiberius closes the scroll and stares up at the guards standing on the wall. He calls out to the men surrounding him to return to the Dreadfort, leaving the two heads to rot at the gates of Herendul

Vectis rides hard to Castle Wintermont upon hearing the news as relayed to him by his old friend, Okari-...

After a quick gathering, he addresses the situation:

"From this point on, my old comrades, you have to stay together. Do not travel to Abresi. I saw Flays cut down your Prince with the utmost support from the local authorities. Only leave Wintermont armored and armed with steel in groups of two or more. Report /all/ raids and separate attacks directly to the Prince-Commandant. Flee at first sight of resistance you know you cannot match. Best of luck, my friends."

And with his few words of wisdom spoken, he departs.

Han dines on a fresh duck in the dark halls of the Dreadfort as Tiberius runs up with a letter clenched in his fist

Han puts his hand up for a moment, wiping his mouth clear of any food. "What is it, Tiberius?"

Tiberius anxiously hands Han the letter, and speaks out, "The Kingdom of Herendul prepares her walls for battle. There will be war in the near future."

Han puts down his fork and gets up from his seat. "The banners of House Flay will fly along their walls soon enough. Rally the men. We ride for battle in a week's time."

((I'll PM you regarding battle times))

The King hears word of the Flay-bandits beheading travelers and laughs, "Send word to the regiments, and to our supporters. If it's a fight they want, it's a fight they'll get."

((Is this a WC or a skirmish?))
