*A notice is posted outside of the doors of all citizens of Urguan, it reads as follows*

For years now we have been using the Elven dating and timing systems, but this will end now. Although their calendar was functional, it was illogical and somewhat random. Our greatest horologists have developed the Dwarven International Calendar and have created Dwarven Standared Time. It works as follows:

Timings of the day will function by the standards that:

One Dwarven Second equals 108 125ths ((0.864)) of an Elven second.

The Dwarven minute shall last 100 Seconds, and the hour 100 minutes. A day shall have 10 hours. Noon is at 5:00, and midnight at 10:00 (0:00)

((http://dwarventime.hostingsiteforfree.com/'>Current Dwarven Time))

The names of days shall cycle every tenth. They will be known as:

1. Lakh’Ein

2. Lakh’Taveir

3. Lakh’Prir

4. Lakh’Fjhornir

5. Lakh’Fimm

6. Lakh’Sek

7. Lakh’Sefar

8. Lakh’Atta

9. Lakh’Nihu

10. Lakh’Tiu

There shall be six seasons, each composed of 6 partitions, which each are 10 days long.

The partitions shall be named:

1. Ved’Hrun

2. Ved’Tva

3. Ved’Tria

4. Ved’Fott

5. Ved’Fiff

6. Ved’Sikk

And the seasons:

1. Ord

2. Kadrin

3. Khron

4. Raz

5. Beoir

6. Trumm

Faz'Dwedmar: At the end of the 6th season, a 5 day celebration will take place, in honor of the year passed. After this, the 1st season will begin again.

((The first cycle begins on January first, or the second on a leap year, with the first being an additional day of Faz'Dwedmar))

Signed Lakh’Nihu, Ved’Sikk, Beoir, 2,

Grand King Dizzy of Urguan

Archbishop Indago Stormhammer

Lord King Dreek Ireheart

Master Horologist Onar Stormhammer

Farren begins chuckling with delight as his clansman brings him the news.

"About bloomin' time! Finalleh we dun' 'ave tu rely n tu elven method. It seems t'at Oghrahad has granted us his favour in t'is matter. "

((Nice! It's a joy to see more Dwarven unique things, although it may be hard to implement. I suggest using it loosely in game, so people don't get over confused by it. It's a good read, +1 to you sir.))

*The Paragon lunges into his beard and conjures forth an ancient Dwarvish pocket watch covered in dust. He begins to toss the gold piece of ticking rubbish over his shoulder.*

"Suh much fer da investment! 'Ow dat fawk dis wurk? Brudder Onar? Wut be da day nooh!? Can Ah get me own watch?"

((If we get something similar to a command block in 4.0 we should turn the tower into a clock tower that eminates an anvil hitting/gong noise every Dwarvisg hour.))

Edit:

((Perhaps calculate the year since the beginning of the server. As that is when the time of the Ironborn ended.))

Another Edit:

((Since May 24th 2011, a rounded 2.294 years have passed.))

Grunmin hears of the news over his prayers to Belka, nodding in approval.
