    i dont mean this as an insult, but it sounds like you're mixing up getting into character with letting the character become you (self-inserting/projecting/wtv you wanna call it). character bleed is a problem that also happens in theater, often solved by taking a step back. and taking a step back is not trying to start a new nation, thats maybe the last thing you should be doing to yourself. please consider taking a break like others have said and reflecting on what you get out of this place, see if theres another way to get that fulfillment, theres a 90% chance the answer is yes. using lotc as an escape will just make your life worse, the short term dopamine is not worth it

    Right now its slightly smaller than aevos but it might not feel that way because of the shape we're keeping CT in the sky where it belongs!! find out irp tile system revamp is in the works but expect some your views for feedback before thats finished its kinda up in the air but expect it to be longer than aevos

    doesn’t fix many any of the problems the previous rewrite attempts got shot for but it’s nice to see zarakal getting attention again also crediting yourself as the sole writer when there are copy pasted chunks written by other people is corny idk

      If you have been a member of a community for numerous years, total apathy for the community and others involved with it should not be the norm. This may be a gaming community, or subcommunities even, but behind the screen real people are still involved. If people only had concern for others we only interacted with in person, we wouldn't have people doing the very necessary task of looking out for younger players so they don't become victims of predatory behaviour. It's totally fine if you don't want to poke your head into more serious topics, but others shouldn't be discouraged from doing so because it's these sorts of people who help to make communities enjoyable and safe for other people

An adult doesn't give a **** about other's people opinion, they keep their head up and care about things that matter to them, like their friends and family, that will automatically include people in this community no matter what. You want to talk serious stuff but at some point this is not real life and it will never be, you must approach it a different way.

       

      Your generation generally lives their whole lives on the internet, they think that online friends are real and stuff like that. It's always and will never be the same as putting work to get friends IRL such as doing sports, activities and others.

       

      You shouldn't give a **** to give out your opinion, even if wrong, I didn't ask for people to start predating on children.

       

      You really need to go outside my dude, as I have seen over the past few weeks, this stuff has become too real and it's almost unhealthy for you, not only has the community reacted badly to your "serious" messages but nobody is that much involved into it.

       

      You want to get serious, we'll ******* get serious mate.

       

      Ultimately, what makes a community is different opinions and views clashing with each other, it's not a place where everybody respects each other, a community is never perfect by itself. If we were all on the same opinion/view, these forums would be dead, the server would be dead, etc. If we all respected each other, this server wouldn't exist, society wouldn't exist, we would better be in our own homes. It's how a society evolves and becomes better and make its members better by having differences and overcoming it.

    i have no problems with a malflame cure, but having it be yet another mass producible ability for the most common fa that solves everything will make rp and consequence even more stale

    very wise mr mordu. i agree with these sentiments. i find myself logging on less and less because its easier to read the forums instead of running around ingame struggling to find rp. about a year ago i made a post with the same idea (and a lot less words damn!!) and its interesting to see how community opinions have changed. it also included a couple other solutions, but after reading this post im curious what your thoughts are on flat out removing replies from certain forum posts? i think it would at least neuter the "help me ratio" forum warriors and force people to say their piece IC, but it could be detrimental for others (e.g. guild posts where you apply in the replies) heres the post for reference favorite track on the new remix album?

    as someone on staff i think it is disingenuous to imply vendettas and grudges have no impact on decisions. yes, sometimes staff means well, but that doesnt make us immune to bias, even if we dont realize it. i really think mods need some kind of conflict resolution training or something because modreqing can be super hit or miss (which i believe attributes to why many players feel like they were "targeted" during a situation). some people on staff simply lack the patience to deal with this community, and that is ok. another problem this server has is EXTREMELY lax enforcement. a good chunk of the server should be permabanned by now but we give so many second, third, fourth chances to people that dont deserve them. and why bother with permas when the next admin can unban them because they play league together?? some real slimey ass people worm their way out of bans thru sheer benefit of the doubt or because they need to break the rules ten more ******* times before anything can be done, and it destroys any player confidence in mods actually protecting the community. if they do get banned its usually followed by their buddies asking for proof to "fact check" or whatever (they're going to harass the reporter) and then the report magically gets leaked. there has to be a better vetting system for reports!!!!! at the end of the day this is a minecraft roleplay server. you dont need it to survive. nobody has a right to be on here forever. if someone loses their friends or happiness or anything REAL because of lotc, a ban is necessary to snap them out of the hypnosis this game can cause. do not convince yourself lotc is all there is
