Do you hear yourself right now? You pinged someone just because they have 'a belief'—someone who wasn’t pushing it on you or anyone else, just keeping it to themselves like every other religious person on this server. Yet, you went out of your way to ping them for your 'gotcha' moment, framed them as the bad person, and now that you're being called out, you double down by calling everyone insane and a bigot. Talk about bigotry.

huge ups on this. I love the idea of machine spirits getting something unique. Not a lot of them out there, and I could see how it would be a more appealing CA with the possibility of a summon. Love it!

It's sort of situation dependent. Someone mentioned it earlier but if it was ONLY attack / dodge, whoever threw the first hit would win %100 of the time. I just try to act reasonably, you have 2 hands after all. Pulling a shield up to glance a hit off and then swinging is reasonable, but equipping a shield from thin air and THEN blocking would likely be too much. Or maybe you use the edge of the weapon to take the blow, and pivot off that into putting the blade in their shoulder. the dodge 'action' is a flat out, the attack misses you take no damage. I.E - being focused on defense might mean instead of swinging, you pull your sword back to prepare for another attack. Or use your shield, and then move back into a more favorable position - etc. That only really covers melee combat, though. If someone was charging a bow / spell I wouldn't expect them to be able to react without dropping that action.

For what its worth, I have used the draught a few times on my previous character. It's not supposed to be an effective method of disguise, but something that you can do occasionally to add into character development. It should be a heinous and terrible thing going from Undeath, back to life. If it had any more duration on it, I personally think it would eat into the intent of what it was for. Had some great RP with them, though.

For the being that was once Sermi, and then O’zen'jkastum had long fallen silent. If she knew, would she have come to mourn the passing of Villorik? Would she clutch his memory close to her chest, or discard it entirely? All that was certain was the emptiness. Nothing existed, where she once did. The one he couldn't save. Guilt never weighed on her as heavily as it did Laelia, for she saw her role as acting. To be the monster eschewed the burden of her crimes, it was justifiable; eventually, one would come. One with the grace and strength of the Light. Long had those two talked and battered each other. From the earliest memories she held of the man, who had known her only in cursed form. He had challenged her beliefs, knew the misery that existed within her heart. Saw the hate that was piled on her, in the pursuit of justice. In another world, perhaps she would have stood aside him. Of all who made her doubt, he had come the closest. When she lied to him, it was with a heavy heart. Figments of truth swore through her words, even as far removed from the full picture as they were. Always just enough to express her guilt, her sadness, her sorrows. For much blood had been shed, and neither of them had grown from it. Perhaps, somewhere in that wretchedly peaceful sleep; did she think of him. That long gaze, cast upon the wheat. Her fields had long fallen to ash, that not a single stalk of grain grew. Some wounds could not so easily be patched by time. Not those she inflicted upon Deia, nor Sarryn. There was no welcome to the Skies, from her. No parting words, nothing but emptiness. Yet, one question remained unanswered. Buried in the deepest reaches of her mind. The memory had played, over and over; Amayas death. Her true ascension to Princehood, that came with such heavy sorrow. Did he ever learn the truth? She had tried to shield him, from it. For at least, perhaps, Laelia could be saved. It had been far too easy to agree to her plans. Even simpler, to burn hellfire and cast it upon them all. She would be the villain they thought she was. But the cursed fenn deserved better then that, then her. Then the world offered all of them. Maybe now, their memory could finally rest. ⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘

Damaged as he was, Sorrel could only bear one eye towards the news that he had received. Some measure of weight fell into his brow, especially when his lingering injuries ached at the back of his mind. No small amount of suffering, with the remains of those acidic wounds on his skin. All that matters was that what accounted for his being, was secured. "High Prince, I am a soldier as much as a scholar. With this unfortunate news, I would commit myself in aid. It will take me some small time to recover, from my current wounds. But I will heal, before serious movement into this should occur. To fight along side you again would be a privilege, and an honor. Light warm our path, Sorrel."

Two golden eyes lay with a hardened, distant gaze upon the pit of gore. He had not known the man long, but ambition spoke highly of him. Some measure of a fellow brother, if he'd ever go so far as to label one of his fellows along that line. Only one had that before, who bore the same terrific corruption through their veins. Sprouted fang, and with venom laced in their tongue. Much like him, Sul represented an abnormality. Some measure of stoicism, he daresay even sanity. It clung to them, to their actions. They were not driven by emotion like the others. No, they owned themselves. They had conquered themselves, and in so doing laid the groundwork for his own rise. What would a serpent do but watch from the grass and wait for its meals? He needn't learn the lessons the others so painfully did. Their demise was teacher enough. Their apathy, a cancer he had watched burrow deep and spread. By helping another bind himself so fully in chains, he had damned him. This was a sin inescapable, a loss of everything that had made Sul himself. Thus the 'thill came to wonder what the King that rose in his image would be like. In some ways, even this was not so different from the Nephilim rituals. Death, and endless, painful, fire. Never would he make the same mistake. This is where the soul went to die, and he held his far too strongly. After all, what could Kendel want but himself? His being? Every thought, every well-trained muscle of that mind. The pit of endless ambition that was his skull contained a terrific ego. He would wrench his very existence out and shatter it, if it meant they would never get it. No, this would not do.

Somewhere, a whetstone came to be dragged across misting steel. A warriors practice, and medication. Some blistering gutful of hate boiled in his chest. Corruption borne of this manner, he had seen. He remembered. Sorrel wasn't going to let them languish in this tepid state. They were needed for far greater things. They were a key, a weapon, an ally. Salvation had shed across their form before, burning away the rotting muscle. As he came to rise, the same promise was made once more. They would not keep her in chains, long.

Somewhere, the plate-clad figure of a knight strode forward. The walls were familiar, as were the ruins. Both from the war before, and more recent excursions into the depths. He knew well the horrors that existed inside, and knew firsthand the one they had thought to turn. Sorrel looked forward to the blood to be shed. They were a stain, a blight; and now he had the excuse to turn first to violence. Darkspawn weren't capable of reason, nor compromise. This was the best option. The 'thill prepared oncemore to descend into the belly of the beast.

Sorrel looked over the missive, preparing another bird. He had another to thank for spreading the message. Exhaustion ate in the edge of his eyes, for every thought was focused on the pursuit of this insanity. Paranoia had started to seep in. The deeper he had dived, the more he exposed himself; the more risk. But what else did he have? For what was shown to him was far worse then any fate they might drag him into. Obsession came in equal parts with genius, so often, and this was but one more case.
