    It isn't ignorance, it's players wanting to be shorter. Maybe Goblins were that tall, but obviously now players want them to be smaller nowadays. It isn't breaking lore if the RP of their families (like the Claws) lead to them being smaller. I know for a fact that Jingeh (the founder of the claw family) is taller than his littler relatives. It's being RP'd more than you think.
